Sopley Retreat is a family run luxury glamping retreat, in the village of Sopley, New Forest. Our secluded lodge is located on peaceful grounds, situated next to the River Avon, with fishing rights and wood fired hot tub.
Inside is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, living area with double sofa bed, kitchen with appliances and dining table, wood burner and TV.
Outside is garden furniture, fire pit and secure parking.
Sopley Retreat is nestled in the idyllic village of Sopley, on the edge of New Forest. Our private secluded lodge is located on peaceful grounds, situated next to the River Avon.
The lodge has been carefully designed and furnished, situated next to the River Avon, the lodge has a stunning waterfront view. We also allow fishing in the river if fishing is your favourite way to unwind and all rights and licenses are included within the cost of the stay. Fishing equipment is available for hire with advance notice. There are sometimes fisherman on the opposite bank who will give a welcoming wave.
Inside the lodge there is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom, this would be shared if coming as a group, dressing area and storage wardrobe. The large living area has a sofa which doubles up as a sofa bed, kitchen with appliances and dining table and all crockery and cutlery to allow self contained living, wood burner and TV and coffee machine. A luxury hamper also awaits.
Externally there is a wood fired hot tub that has recently been upgraded with a larger version that has lights and bubbles to make those nights extra special.
outdoor furniture, a gas fired fire pit is provided as well as a bbq and storage area for your bikes. Secure parking is available at the main property with a short walk across the scenic garden to the private entrance to the retreat. The woodfired hot tub will come with a few bag of logs which will serve at least two days use. Following that we can supply logs as necessary for a small charge.
In addition to the lodge, there is a separate summer house for your exclusive use, with further furniture inside to relax and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the flowing river. The sofa in here doubles up as a bed, but perhaps better for use in the warmer months as the summer house isn’t heated.
The lodge is close to the grounds of Sopley Mill, so whether you're attending or hosting a wedding or private event, Sopley Retreat is the perfect spot for luxury overnight accommodation. There are walks down the Avon Valley path and a popular public house all within very short walking distance.

Parking is in the reserved section to the side of the main owners property via secure gated access. Then a short walk to the lodge via lit garden path.
Other things to note
The lodge is next to a river so be aware if bringing children or late at night. We have some lights erected, but care must be taken.
