When you walk through the front door of the Vintage Mountain Villa, you will feel like you are walking through the pages of COUNTRY LIVING Magazine, decorated with vintage collectibles and local folk art. The drive in boasts a scenic dead-end street surrounded by serene rolling hills. The house is nestled against the side of a mountain and backs up against a wooded area. Wrap up in soft, cuddly blankets, while sitting by the warm fire, while sipping hot cocoa. The cabin has central AC/Heat, so you will never need to worry about comfort.
There are multiple sitting areas to enjoy the outdoors on the property. The front porch is a guest favorite, while sitting to drink your coffee or glass of wine. Enjoy sitting by the crackling fire at the fire pit while roasting hotdogs or marshmallows. Have a meal outdoors at the picnic table by the firepit and enjoy the beauty of nature all around. Because this area is higher than the cabin, guests can enjoy a better view of the mountains through the trees. The back yard has a lovely sitting space in the garden area, where the birds come to sing and find food. Spend time indoors enjoying the game room, complete with pool table, air hockey, checkers and darts. There are so many things to do and see in this area, that you won't be able to do them all in one trip.

Tallulah Falls, Helen, Lake Rabun, and Lake Burton are each within a 30 minute drive. If you are a nature lover, this is the place for you! There are an endless number of beautiful scenic overlooks, waterfalls, trails, lakes, and streams. You can go fishing, kayaking, hiking, tubing, white water rafting, zip lining, and so much more!

TV'S:
There are Roku smart TVs located in the living room, basement bedroom and the 2nd bedroom. Guests may use their own login to watch their favorite programs. The Theater Room is a great place to watch your favorite movie on the BIG SCREEN by logging into your streaming account. There are also DVD options available. (PS4 coming soon!)
GAME ROOM:
The entire basement is a recreational area for those rainy days. Get competitive in the large game room including a pool table, dart board, air hockey, checkers, Connect 4, Corn Hole, Ring toss, and an assortment of board games.
BBQ GRILL:
The back yard has a pleasant sitting area in the garden. There is an old school outdoor BBQ available. Bird seed is provided if you enjoy watching the birds visiting the property. There is a fire pit area for enjoying cool evenings around the crackling fire with good company. Marshmallow skewers and grilling tools are available in the kitchen in a black canvas bag, as a courtesy. I’ve also provided a wood carrier. Firewood is not provided. There is a place to buy firewood nearby. This information will be provided in your welcome message.
GUEST INTERACTION:
I offer self-check-in, and will only be a text or phone call away until 9pm. You will receive a message with check-in instructions and your personal door code to enter the villa a day or two before your stay. Please make a note of your door code in case you don't have internet access upon arrival. I will leave my home in your hands. Please take care of it.
PETS:
The property is pet friendly! Dogs are allowed by request only. There is a $100 pet fee per dog. Pets must be completely housebroken and well behaved. They should not be left alone in the cabin, unless crated. Crate not provided. Guests are expected to clean up after their dogs and will be liable for any damage.
AIRPORTS:
The cabin is about 2 hours from the Asheville or Atlanta airports.
TRANSPORTATION:
The villa sits on a short span of gravel road, which is not steep to drive on. The driveway is on a slight incline that's flat on top for parking. The nearest gas station is 7 miles away from the cabin, so keep this in mind to ensure you have enough gas when you start into Tiger. Sometimes it helps to have a high profile vehicle when it's been rainy. The road can get a little bumpy. No need for AWD.
WATER:
The water comes from a filtered spring-fed well, good mountain spring water.
TRASH:
Because of wildlife in the area, trash must NOT be left outside. The cleaner takes up to 3 bags of trash at the end of the stay. If guests need to dispose of trash or have an abundance of trash, there are several choices of places to dump it. Some do offer recycling, as well. Please do not accumulate lots of trash in the cabin. Take to the dump as needed.
SECURITY:
Surveillance cameras positioned outside for safety. Tampering with cameras will result in immediate termination of stay without refund. Each entrance and the driveway is monitored. Cameras are motion activated.
CELLULAR SERVICE:
Cell phone service is spotty in this area and is not guaranteed. There is no landline. Calls can be made using Wi-Fi calling.
Wi-Fi:
This is one of the rare homes in these mountain to have brand new FIBER Wi-Fi!!! More than 87 Mbps Download & 51 Mbps Upload Speed. You can work remotely, and use several devices at the same time.
POWER OUTAGES:
Power outages can happen at times in the woods due to animals, ice or down branches. The electric company is usually pretty good about getting the power back up fairly quickly, but please be patient if this happens during your stay. This is a rare occurrence.
FIREPLACE/GRILL/FIRE PIT:
- The fireplace has gas logs on a timer. Do not burn or roast anything in the fireplace. Do not remove the screen from in front of the fire, for safety. Gas will be shut off from April - October. Grilling and roasting can be done outside on the grill or Firepit.
- Firewood can be purchased in Tiger on most days. The location will be provided in your welcome message.
- An old school BBQ is available as a courtesy. A wood fire tends to work best. Grilling tools are available in the kitchen. Guests, who choose to use the grill must clean it for the next guest.
NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW:
Located just minutes away, you will find shops and restaurants in Clayton, Mountain City and Dillard. The villa is located on a private dead-end mountain road, where guests may only come across a few other houses. Please do not disturb the neighbors, and remember that this is their home. Friendly neighborhood dogs may pay you a visit. They love people and visiting dogs.

NO SMOKING:
No Smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed and will result in a fee if any sign of smoking is left behind. Signs of smoking in the home will lead to a $300 extra cleaning fee.
PETS:
- $100 non-refundable per pet fee (dog only)
- Pets must be approved by host
- Must not be left alone on property unless crated.
- Must cover furniture where pet rests (furniture covers provided).
- Dogs must NOT be allowed on the beds.
- Must clean up after your pet.
- For additional cleaning due to pet mess, a $100+ fee will be charged.
LONG STAYS:
Additional cleanings are required monthly for longer stays with additional cleaning fees. Stays more than a month will require a signed lease agreement and deposit.
REQUIREMENTS:
- List of names and birthdates of all guests are required
- Must be at least 25 years old to book
- Quiet hours fall between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM
- No additional guests allowed above reserved number, without prior approval.
WILDLIFE:
- Due to the secluded nature of the villa, critters may make their way indoors. Please keep food put away. Do not feed the wildlife, except the birds. If an insect problem is noticed, please let host know, and pest control company can be called to take care of it.
SHORT TERM RENTAL AGREEMENT:
- Guests acknowledge the rental agreement when the first payment is made and are expected to share with all guests.
REFUNDS:
- Guests are advised to buy Travel Insurance, as refunds will not be given due to the inability to make this trip. See cancellation policy.
- Refunds will not be given due to things mentioned in the listing that were not read by guest.
SEPTIC SYSTEM:
Mountain homes in are on septic tanks. ONLY toilet paper can be flushed. Guests may not flush items like feminine products, paper towels, wipes, tissues, or anything else down toilets. A charge of up to $300 will be charged for clogging the toilets due to misuse.
CHECKING-OUT INSTRUCTIONS:
- Guests are expected to to leave property in the same general condition it was when guests arrived. Please do not move furniture or amenities.
- Please wash dishes and put them away or in the drainer
- Close and lock all windows and doors.
- Leave trash bagged by the back door. If trash needs to be removed during your stay, guests may take it to the dump in town. Trash must not be left outside due to wildlife or kept to accumulate on the property. If you have more than 3 bags of trash during your stay, please take your trash to the dump. Locations will be provided.
