Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. Downstairs in the hotel / lobby and dining rooms were decorated very smartly.

Negative: Our room hadn't been cleaned well before our stay - there were some bits of debris between the bed and the window (about 30cm of space to walk round and open or close the window and I kept standing on some bits of plastic) there were brown stains like make-up on one of the curtains and also somebody had sprayed a lot of a man's deodorant onto the curtains. This was not pleasant to breathe in when we went to bed. Although the bathroom looked quite recently fitted the grout was stained in a few places. The breakfast buffet was OK. Not anything special, some tomatoes would've been welcome. The bacon and sausage were very pale and not so inviting. Some guests were being served a la carte breakfasts and also fresh eggs at their tables but this wasn't offered to us, possibly there's a VIP package available ? None of it was so bad it was worth complaining and causing a fuss, but we won't be rushing back!
