Summer resort, classified winter sports and mountaineering resort by decree of 1969, located in the center of the Alps of Savoie, Flumet occupies the heart of this high valley of the Mont Blanc region. The Arly flows peacefully from its source above Megève to Flumet, the ancient fortified city built with its castle on a rocky spur at the confluence of the Arly and the Arrondine, marked the southern end of the Faucigny.
