Positive: The tiny little alley this property was on seemed unsafe late at night but we had no problems. Was situated directly between a vibrant shopping district and the old harbour so very handy. Well equipped kitchen area. Comfortable bed.
Negative: There were no electrical sockets near any of the beds so charging phones up overnight was an issue. While we were there, the heating broke so although the weather was warm enough, nobody could have a shower. The host did try to help and when the heating was condemned, offered to allow us to use his own facilities, but we were not keen on this idea. The host’s communications were very good to be honest and he did try to help, but although we understand that it was an unfortunate occurrence, the three of us were unable to have hot water or heating for half of our stay. The apartment was up a number of flights of stairs which was a problem for my husband as he had recently undergone a knee operation, but it was fine for me and our 13 year old.
Summary: Great location, decent apartment. Fantastic city.
