Essentials - Parking is available for 3 vehicles. The casita is equipped with energy-efficient mini-split heat pump air conditioning units for heating and cooling, powered by a 9.0 kW solar panel system. Guest Access:
You will have exclusive access to the entire Orion Minor house and its surrounding property. While we encourage enjoying the property and exploring Joshua Tree National Park, please respect our neighbors' privacy and refrain from entering their backyards. Please note that off-highway vehicle (OHV) use is strictly prohibited in this area.

Situated near the primary entrance of Joshua Tree National Park and just two miles south of Joshua Tree Village, Orion Minor offers convenient access to the park's natural wonders and the amenities of the town. This location provides a secluded desert setting while keeping you close to local attractions.

Getting Around:
This is a remote location accessed via unpaved roads, so please drive slowly and carefully. While a car is necessary to get around, a four-wheel drive vehicle is not required, but be aware that the roads may have ruts, particularly after rainfall.
Other Things to Note:
• EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.
• DOGS: Dogs are welcome and there is a one time fee of $100. Maximum of 2 Dogs allowed. No other types of animals are authorized.
• SOCIAL MEDIA: Tag us @homesteadmodern when sharing your experience.
• CELL SERVICE: Cell phone service availability and quality in the high desert varies by service provider. This is particularly true in the more remote areas of Joshua Tree, Pipes Canyon, and Pioneertown. Please be prepared by enabling wifi calling or downloading a VOIP program.
• ROAD CONDITIONS: Dirt roads may have ruts; please drive with caution.
