Take a step back in time in this charming 1950's Palisades beach house with many original features and updated with stylish furnishing and modern updates. Extra large back yard with unobstructed ocean views, and the gentle sound of waves crashing. Front of property has spacious porch with sunset ocean views. 10 minute walk to Caruso's Palisades Village restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and farmer's market. 1 Gig WiFi, outdoor TV for movie nights or day-time sports watching, new A/C system.
3 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom freestanding, single-family home. Approximately 1700 sq ft + spacious yard. 7 min drive to Will Roger’s State Beach. We have an incredible location on the bluffs overlooking the beach and PCH, but you must drive up and out of neighborhood to then drive back towards the beach, we do not have direct or walking beach access.
We will have direct access to a park being built in the valley below us, scheduled to be done within the next year

○ Bedroom #2/Office: queen sofa bed + desk + wi-fi printer (please let us know when booking if you'd like it to be set up as a bedroom -- we have it as an office unless you let us know otherwise)
○ Bedroom #3: 2 double beds, smart TV
○ 1 full bathroom with separate tiled shower stall and tub
○ 1 half bath/toilet room next to the laundry area
○ Kitchen with vintage tile and updated pull-down faucet, new stainless steel appliances including gas range, dishwasher, high-quality cookware, bakeware, dinnerware, flatware, etc.
○ Keurig, Chemex pour over, French press, traditional drip machine, coffee bean grinder provided
○ Open living room/dining area/kitchen with tons of natural light and ocean views from living room
○ 3 Smart TVs in living room and 2 bedrooms with apps & live TV (no traditional cable)
○ Outdoor TV in backyard for daytime viewing or movie nights
○ Beach towels, boards, beach chairs, bikes available for guests to borrow
○ Free, in-house washer/dryer (large capacity LG set added after pictures were taken)
○ 1 driveway spot to park in, plus easy and free street parking (no street cleaning)
○ Outdoor shower in driveway, perfect for when coming back from the beach
Things to note: there is no firepit in backyard even though it is in some pictures--we had to take it out to meet city requirements due to the high fire hazard in this area. We added string cafe lights to the backyard which are not shown. Second bedroom is set up as an office but sofa can be converted into a queen size sofa bed. Please let us know in advance of your arrival if you'd like to set it up as a bedroom for you. We have a full-size crib available, if you'd like us to set it up for you please let us before your arrival and which room you'd like it in.
Please keep in mind this is an original 1950s home so there might be some minor quirks based on the age.
Fireplace in living room is decorative only, due to the age of the house and high fire hazard in this area we do not use it.
Please note there is no luggage storage before check-in or after check-out. If you'd like early check-in, make sure to request it in advance. In most cases we cannot offer it, but we will be happy to let you know in case it is possible (though we may not be able to let you know either way until the morning of check-in in many cases). It is EXTREMELY rare that we can offer late checkout, but if you request it in advance as well we will let you know if it's possible. Requests the morning of for late checkout are not possible due to the need to schedule our cleaners in advance.
Guests are solely responsible to check themselves for personal items and remove them before check-out. If any items left behind are found, we take NO responsibility for their safekeeping in any way. As a courtesy, found items may be arranged to be picked up in Santa Monica at a time that is possible based on our availability; we do not mail forgotten items nor take any responsibility for their storage, transport, nor condition at any time, even if we agree to arrange for pickup.
