Quinta da Arte is a country estate on 12 hectares of land with four separate, privately located, individual holiday homes that are particularly suitable for family vacations or holidays with friends who appreciate private homes but also want to spend time together. Each house is special and is located in the middle a naturally grown park with art objects surrounded by private gardens.
The property has a swimming pool, an open-air theatre with 120 seats, a dance studio, a boules alley and walking paths where the curious explorer encounters sculptures and art objects.
Our artistic and idiosyncratic holiday home, the PAVILHAO DA ARTE with a separate bedroom with double bed and mosquito repellent as well as air conditioning and an extra large outside bed with mosquito repellent that has space for 2-3 people.
The house is best suited for 2-3 adults or for 2 adults with 1-2 children.But ask me I am open for sugesstions.
A special holiday home with a beautiful bathroom that is kept entirely in blue tones and attracts with a large, beautifully tiled shower bath.
The bedroom with air conditioning and a double bed is adjacent to the bathroom.
The house impresses our guests with the division and size, with the many colour schemes and materials as well as the integrated art objects.
And, in particular, with its great, large outer bed with mosquito protection, in which families of 4 people have already spent their summer nights marvelling at the starry night sky.
The large living space has integrated art objects, a sofa landscape with a desk and chair and two additional sleeping options under a mosquito repellent and fans.
The separate and fully equipped kitchen is housed in a separate kitchen house and is located in the back of the garden right next to the covered dining and barbecue area.
A refreshment under the outside shower in the garden is very welcome with our guests.

Dear guests, I would like to expressly emphasise that in this particular danger situation we will of course use additional disinfectants in addition to the cleaning agents that have always been in use. I have dealt extensively with the laws enacted here and will conscientiously obey them.
A clean house was and is always a special requirement for us, which our guests confirm in their reviews.
Our houses are separated from each other and are private and you have the necessary distance to the other guests.

Quinta da Arte is located in Sotavento, the south-east facing Algarve coast, a coastal landscape with miles of sandy beaches and intact bird and fish life. Here fishing boats cross the waterways of the tamed Atlantic. The property itself is nestled in a wide natural landscape of carob-olive-almond and orange tree plantations. Surrounded by a slightly hilly mountain range, the sea, about 8 km away, glittering on the horizon in the distance.
The pearl of the Algarve, the Roman-Arabic renaissance city of Tavira, at the mouth of the 'Ria do Gilao', is only 10 km away.
Once they have arrived at our place, our guests are often amazed at the larger or prettier occurrences of the accommodations than they had already met and expected in the photos.
The holiday homes are often booked by families or several families who are friends and who then spend their holidays next to each other in the houses.

You love to be able to relax undisturbed, to move away from your everyday life in order to gradually immerse yourself in the Portuguese rhythm of the people, the sea, the food and life.

Children who come to visit us learn to play and discover our whole area because they can move freely and undisturbed and of course the pool is one of your favourite places where you would like to spend the whole day if it weren't for that beautiful other things to discover .....

Peace, nature, inspiration, freedom.
From the ideas of an artist and his creative partner, four individual, artistically designed holiday units were created, each with its own privacy and charisma. The mild climate and the light as inspiration, the desire to bring nature and the aforementioned closer to people, buildings made of glass and iron were designed or z. B. Shade roofs made of coloured acrylic sheets.
Every house has its own special features, from absolute privacy to a life with and in art, which is never intrusive.
For example, in the Pavilhao da Arte there is a large outer bed covered with a mosquito net that allows guests to sleep outside in the middle of nature.
Or the many art objects in the house, on the house or directly in the adjoining garden in the form of outdoor sculptures such as B. the impressive object by a Cologne artist that was installed in a formerly used lime kiln :.
'A memory of September 11th in New York.'
Or the meditative stone formation by a Lisbon artist with its rune symbols and strong message.
These are just two sculptures of other interesting objects that allow the guest to live with art in harmony with nature.

Come and visit us and succumb to the charm of doing nothing and lazing around, be it while "watching the ants" while reading on one of the sun loungers at your holiday home, or in the evening you can play a game of boules on the existing boules court.
Enjoy the colors, scents and vegetation of the different seasons, especially in the months of April-May and June, when everything is green and blooming and it is already warm but not so hot, everything is lush green.
But even in the summer months you can still find a place by the sea for yourself.
Our property is only 9km away from the most beautiful sights or the clean sea with its wide, great beaches.
The kilometres of sandy beaches in the Eastern Algarve are well worth seeing, protected by the beautiful lagoons and mud flats with various game and water birds, where even flamingos are home to the nature reserve of the "Ria Formosa".
Visit the still existing, small fishing villages and their lively goings-on.
Lagoon landscapes which enchant and which the guest can overcome with small fishing boats, on foot or with cosy ferries to get to the sea. Nice: leisurely walk over nicely laid out paths to the sea.
Discoveries:
There is an old castle and lots of nature to explore in and around Castro Marim or more than 35 churches in the charming and particularly worth seeing 150 year old Renaissance town of Tavira, the pearl of the Algarve.
Faro is also worth seeing, with its old, beautiful city centre, a convent and a bone church of the Franciscans as well as a well-kept shopping street where it is nice to stroll and visit the cafes. The most Arab city by the sea, Olhao has not only its beautiful large market halls with fresh goods, but also old streets and even older small shops.
Cacela Velha, new city, old city and the Ria da Formosa in front of the door and extensive golf courses. St. Lucia, formerly a stronghold of the squid fishing, is now a popular destination to eat a variety of dishes cooked from it or to get to the sea by boat. And there would be Fuzeta: bars, restaurants, fishing boats ...... and much more that I would be happy to tell you about.

Other beautiful travel destinations .....: Spain is very close to us and can be reached very quickly. Across the border river, the Guardiana, a small ferry goes from Vila Real St. Antonio and takes you to Andalusia, where the beautiful world of starters, Spanish tapas, begins. The world of the Spaniards, with its many legends tell of horses and bullfights, the shimmering heat, the fights between the Portuguese and Spaniards long ago and the dawn of modern times has long since found its way into the white villages of the municipality. El Roccio, a pilgrimage site where there was once a brave churchman who saved many of the area's gypsies from the persecution of the fascists in his church. Visit the adjacent 'Donana' nature reserve, with rare birds and lynx, its large pine forests and continue to Seville, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. You drive only 1 hour 50 m by car from our Quinta to Seville. Welcome !!
