Summary: This property is centrally located. It is close to the town of Blowing Rock, while also in the middle of Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and the Appalachian Ski Mountain. You are also close to the town of Boone where you can find larger supermarkets and major stores. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short distance away allowing you to easily get around to most major destinations. Getting to the house is a paved highway. Once you turn on the street leading to the house, you will be on a gravel road. There is a pot hole that you can maneuver around. The gravel road gets better the further in you go. We drove an AWD and had no issues. The house itself is welcoming. If you’re traveling with a dog, you will definitely appreciate this home. There is special seating for them in the living room, water/food bowls in a basket close to the dinning room, and a large crate for them in one of the bedrooms. It is a quiet neighborhood and plenty of space outside for the dog(s) to run around. Outside, there is a fireplace with some lounge chairs. The house also has a washer/dryer which was helpful during our stay. The kitchen had all the essentials needed as well. The downstairs basement is unfinished, but you will find a workout bench and a ping pong table. Since it’s an older home, the floor is not completely leveled and the finishing are not the latest. However, this did not take away from the wonderful time we had. I would definitely consider staying here again.
