Our house is in a fantastic location in Graceville. It is about 150m from the train station. The city is seven stops away. The bus stop is about the same distance from the house. It is very easy to get to the city, University of Queensland and Griffith University from this location.
We are very close to the Honour Avenue shops which boast 15 restaurants, a butcher, grocer, small supermarket, movie theatre, CBA bank etc etc. Indooroopilly Shopping town is 2 stations away. Sherwood Woolworths is one stop away.
Things to do nearby include: walk along the Brisbane River, Lone Pine Sanctuary (Australian Animals), Mt Coot-tha lookout, Botanical Gardens, DFO factory outlets, Indooroopilly Shopping Centre. With a car there is easy access to the Sunshine Coast to the north, the Gold Coast to the south and to Toowoomba (a lovely rural city) to the west.
We live in a large, comfortable, old timber Queensland home on a good size block. We have three bedrooms available for home stay. Room 1 is a single room. Room 2 has a Queen bed and is only available for short term home stays. Room 3 can be configured with a King bed for a couple or with 2 King singles for twin share. Bathroom facilities would be shared.
We have been sharing our home with home stays for the past 20 years and have always enjoyed it. We were also on the receiving end of wonderful hospitality overseas which we would like to reciprocate.
This room is all timber: timber floorboards, timber bed, desk and drawers. It has a very large wardrobe.
