Newly refurbished for 2021, Nuttaberry Cottage is a beautiful semi detached property
just a few hundred yards away from the river Torridge and Tarka Trail. Bordered by open countryside in a semi-rural location, the cottage is only a few minutes’ walk from the many amenities of Bideford town centre, and within a few minutes drive of the gorgeous beaches of the North Devon coastline. Equipped with every modcon and comfort you could need, Nuttaberry Cottage is the ideal base for your stay.
The cottage has two bedrooms: a luxurious master looking out onto the rear garden, and a front-facing twin room. The living area consists of a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, fully equipped with all-new appliances and fittings, complete with a cosy log burning fire. The bathroom has a fully tiled, contemporary design with a full size bath and power shower. There is a separate, fully-equipped utility room (washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board iron etc) next to the back door, opening out directly onto the patio and back lawn, which is ideal for catching the beautiful Devon morning sun. The bathroom and utility room feature unique porthole windows giving the cottage a nautical feel.
There is full gas central heating throughout with initial lightings and logs supplied for the wood burner. All utilities are included. Bed linen and towels are of high quality Egyptian cotton commercially/professionally cleaned to highest Covid standards.
The cottage has enclosed private parking for up to 3 cars. Additionally there is a large BBQ and dining area to the front of the property, accessible from the main living room via the patio doors leading down onto the decking area (to be completed circa Mid-June 21). There is ample garden furniture both in the rear and front gardens and a large 3 burner gas BBQ (gas provided) for your enjoyment.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate any pets as we have 3 very territorial dogs of our own (Holly, Poppy and Socks).
Please no smoking within the property and if you do smoke outside we ask that you dispose of butt ends responsibly.
Nuttaberry Cottage is the perfect choice for a family seaside holiday or a couple’s escape at any time of year. This stunning cottage is within easy walking distance of everything the pretty North Devon town of Bideford has to offer. The sunny rear garden is ideal for a lazy breakfast as you plan your day, or for al fresco dining on balmy summer evenings. There is plenty to see and do right on your doorstep with the famous Tarka Trail passing close by for walking or cycling, or stroll around the many delightful shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants that Bideford has to offer, with its regular pannier and waterfront markets, all within a 10-minute walk of the cottage.
Take a boat trip to the nature reserve at Lundy Island or explore many pretty fishing villages including nearby Clovelly and Appledore which is one of the oldest and prettiest villages in North Devon with its myriad of narrow streets, quaint cottages, pubs, restaurants, craft shops, art galleries and the bustling quayside. Instow is just 3 miles and is a pretty, unspoilt, seaside village with large stretches of sandy beaches and dunes, fishermen’s cottages, shops and a good selection of pubs and restaurants specialising in locally caught seafood. The wide golden sandy beach of Westward Ho! popular with surfers, is just 3 miles with Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe all close by. RHS Rosemoor Gardens, Docton Mill and Hartland Abbey are well worth a visit. The area is a must for water sports, sailing enthusiasts, surfers and fishermen. Young and old will enjoy crabbing off the quay at Appledore and golf and riding is available locally. For family fun, The Big Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park, Ultimate Adventure Centre and North Devon Wakepark for water sports fun are close by. Golf on the Oldest Link course in Britain RNDGC,, Mountain boarding, karting, and high ropes are available locally and the wild beauty of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moors are all within easy driving distance, as is the famous Eden Project. With so much to discover in this lovely part of North Devon, this is the perfect choice to make happy holiday memories. Beach 2½ miles.
