Newly renovated 2 bedroom cottage (+ loft) directly situated on a big lake with free access to a pedal boat and canoe! There is even an island on the lake that you can visit and have a picnic!
Cottage sleeps up to 7 people, but is ideal for comfortably 4 people as there is a double bed in each bedroom on the first floor and a queen size mattress and single mattress in the loft area. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, heated tile flooring & a heat lamp to keep you warm.
High-speed fiber optic WIFI is also included for your entertainment or work-away from home. There is also a Smart TV, DVDs & board games.

The cottage has 2 closed bedrooms with a bathroom situated in the middle of these rooms. The bedrooms are equipped with LED pot-lights, 2 side tables & lights with independent switches. Please note: the bathroom is only accessible from the bedrooms.
Please note: the cottage is ideal for a small group of 4 to 6 people, but can accommodate more if needed (cottage is approximately 750 sq ft)
The bathroom has heated tile flooring with a walk-in shower. There's a ceiling light, a mirror light & a heat lamp to keep your warm during the winter months. Shampoo/conditioner (by Tresemmé) & body wash (by Ivory) is included in your stay.
The kitchen is equipped with an 8 person table, an electric stove, a fridge, a double sink, pots & pans, kettles, a coffee maker, basic spices and general kitchen supplies.
In the living room, you will find enough place for 4 people to sit comfortably on the couches (with the amazing panoramic view of the lake). There is a 50 inch Smart TV with a DVD player (and a pocket of DVDs). We also have a few deck of cards, board games & puzzles for those rainy days. Please note that we do not provide access to Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, etc. These channels are available on the television but you do need to provide your own personal login.
There is also a loft, which is accessible by a ladder/stairs from the living room. It is equipped with a single mattress as well as a queen mattress.
The cottage is equipped with internet (105 mbps speed at the highest and unlimited bandwith).
There is also a brand new 6-person spa that was installed in February 2021. Please be careful while using it and follow the directions that are posted. Spa/beach towels are included in your stay and are colour coded so everyone remembers which towel is theirs!
For those of you who drive an electric car, there is a 240 volt electric car charger that is there free of charge.
The private dock is accessible right from the backyard! We have a 3 person canoe & a pedal boat (with life vests available) where you can take a trip to the island in the middle of the lake. You can also fish (fishing licenses are for sale at the local dépanneur). For those of you with boats, there is a public unloading station. Please follow all the guidelines when you use it, as the municipality is very strict on those rules (washing your boat, etc. There is a free power-washer available for you at that unloading dock).
There's a BBQ that is available for use through April & November. We provide the propane, BBQ utensils, lighters and dishes proper for barbecuing.
There is an indoor wood stove (a typical Quebecer poêle-à-bois as we call it) and an outdoor fire pit. A small pile of wood is included for your stay with a fire starting kit (small kindling wood, a fire starter log, lighter).
**ACTIVITIES*** There are many activities you can do around the area;
Best option is the Montagne du Diable Regional Park, situated at about 25 minutes from the cottage. There you'll find 80 km of hiking and snowshoeing trails, 96 km of ski trails & 25 km of mountain biking!
In the summer, you can swim in the lake, use the hot tub, BBQ, enjoy a drink on the dock, go canoeing, use the pedal boat, go to the island in the middle of the lake and have a picnic, if you have a boat you can go boating (the lake is 1.75 square kilometers so it's pretty big), you can also go fishing, there's a horse riding camp about 20 minutes away, a beautiful waterfall in the middle of the forest you can visit and the cottage is situated about 20 minutes away from Montagne du Diable Regional Park, where you can hike, rent a bike, etc. You can roast marshmallows in the fire pit while admiring the many stars you'll see in the sky (as there is no light pollution). You can rent bikes and motorcycles in the nearby cities if that's something you are interested in.
In the winter, you can skate in the local skating rink. We are also looking at the possibility of making a skating rink on the lake & a winter fishing hut for winter 2022). The fire pit is also accessible during winter and you can go cross-country skiing, snowshoeing & site-seeing at the Montagne du Diable Regional Park. You can also visit the local sugar shack (we're known for our Cabanes à sucres here in Québec & enjoy our typical local winter cuisine). You can also rent snowmobiles in Mont-Laurier, and we are located right on a snowmobile route.
Lastly, the cottage is located about 5 minutes from a gas station, post office & dépanneur (convenience store), 15-20 minutes away from Ferme-Neuve (where you can find a grocery store (IGA), pharmacy, banks, etc). In Mont-Laurier, which is about 25 minutes away, you will find everything you need, like grocery stores, gas stations, McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Subway, many many restaurants, SAQ, SQDC, Rona, Dollarama, shopping malls, etc...

You'll have access to the entire cottage & the land around it (except for the forest part, which belongs to the neighbor! You have private access to the 2 bedrooms, the loft (please be careful), the living room, kitchen, bathroom, veranda, the dock, the hot tub, the lake, etc!
Other things to note
Please be respectful of the area! Our neighbors enjoy their cottage as well, so we are very strict on the noise policy. Please keep the noise level to a minimum after 9 PM. Obviously you can listen to some music around the fireplace, but just keep the volume low - that's all we ask! :)
IMPORTANT: NO parties, NO events, only the people listed on your reservation may have access to the cottage)
Also, please treat this place like it is your own!! Be mindful that you're on the lake, so noise does carry out very far as there is an echo! NO smoking in the cottage or veranda.
Bed linens, shower and beach towels are included. We also leave some extra ones just in case.
There is a guestbook with all the instructions and rules of the cottage - please take the time to read it carefully.
Pedal boat, canoe & BBQ are available from May 1st to November 1st.
Cellular signal is spotty - you can still make phone calls & send texts, but it's not as reliable as in town! (5 minutes away you get perfect reception lol)
& last but not least, enjoy yourselves! :)

Very important to respect the noise rules as there are neighbors.
No smoking indoors (including the veranda). Outdoor smoking is permitted as long as you do not throw cigarette buds on the ground. Please dispose of them appropriately,
No parties or events. Should you wish to invite someone, please let me know.
Pets: We DO NOT allow all pets. However, we can make exceptions depending on the breed and size of your pet. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can discuss options. (A 75$ pet fee per pet applies).
Lastly, please check the welcome booklet as you arrive as it contains all necessary information on pretty much everything you will need to have an amazing time!
