1 Bedroom Cabin in Maggie Valley
Full disclosure: Bella's is positioned at the rear left corner of our property. It offers the best view of Walker Bald Mountain as well as the soothing sounds of the creek that flows behind our cabin. It also feels very secluded and tucked away even though our main home is on the front part of the property. There is an approximately 175 foot walk from the parking area up to the cabin. The gravel path from the parking area to the cabin meanders along the edge of our property and is surrounded by rhododendrons. As a convenience, we have a golf cart available at no extra charge. This comes in very handy to transport luggage to and from the cabin or if it is rainy out. If you choose to use it, let us know and we will email you a use agreement form to review and accept before arriving at Bella's.
When you walk into our cabin, there is a cozy living room on the right, complete with a comfy love seat, lift-top table, and electric fireplace media stand equipped with a 42 inch television, DVD player, a large selection of DVD movies and a Roku for online movie streaming. On the left is a kitchenette with a microwave, Keurig coffee maker and under counter refrigerator with a small freezer compartment. The garbage and recycling bin is located inside the kitchen cabinet to preserve living space. A large galvanized bucket is the kitchen sink. We provide plates, bowls and utensils in case you want to heat up leftovers from one of the many local restaurants you might visit. We also provide an electric wine bottle opener, wine and beer glasses so that you can enjoy those local craft brews and wines that you bring back with you to the cabin after a day of exploring. Of course you can't forget the coffee! There are coffee cups, as well as Keurig coffee pods, cocoa and a variety of teas provided for those craving a warm drink.
Behind the living room is the bathroom. Slide the barn door closed and you are in a rustic bathroom paradise. There is a stock tank for showering. (FYI - It is 24 inches high, which is about 7 inches taller than the average tub.) The wood shelves are stocked with toilet paper, clean bath towels and washcloths. A hair dryer is also provided.
The rear left corner of the cabin is where you will ascend the stairs to the bedroom loft area. There is a beautifully made queen bed complete with four plush pillows, a quilt comforter and an extra blanket for those chilly mountain nights. The box spring, mattress and pillows all have allergy proof covers. There is a clothes storage system with hangers, shelves and baskets to store your clothes during your stay. There is a clothes steamer provided. At the rear right corner of the loft, there is a cozy sitting area with a glider chair and ottoman. Open the window behind the chair to breathe in the fresh mountain air and to hear the calming sounds of the creek behind the cabin. Enjoy your favorite book or just sit and relax for awhile.
After a busy day of seeing the sights, relax on the porch and rock your cares away in one of the rocking chairs. Enjoy the scenery, the sounds of nature and breathe in the fresh mountain air!
