Summary: The hotel is quite isolated and far from everything. To get there, you have to leave the main road and drive down a winding road, followed by a small path that is not necessarily in good condition. It can be quite exhausting. The view from the hotel is not particularly interesting. You can see Mount Batur and Lake Batur from a distance, but I wouldn’t consider it a particularly impressive viewpoint. The photos definitely make the place look much more appealing than it actually is. I can’t really comment on the Wi-Fi, as I was never given the access code. As for the room, you immediately notice a strong smell of dampness as soon as you open the door. The room is indeed very humid. There is no air conditioning, only a fan. The cabins are poorly insulated, so during the day it gets extremely hot, while in the evening and at night it becomes very cold. The bedding was also disappointing. There was a duvet placed directly on the bed, without a duvet cover or any kind of protective cover between the guest and the duvet. Considering that the same duvet is presumably used by different guests, this is quite unhygienic and frankly unpleasant! The room was not cleaned during my stay. The hosts: they do not speak English, which makes communication very difficult. Overall, I find it very difficult to recommend this place. The reality simply does not live up to the impression given by the photos.
