Summary: We stayed six nights and had a great time. The house is well setup with most things available and working, but it needs love and care to honour the advertisement. The first thing for us was to vacuum all rooms and clean the kitchen bench and both tables in the dining room and the outdoor area: there was dust and cobwebs everywhere and in all rooms. The glass door to the outdoor area was dirty with finger and food marks, the BBQ was totally neglected and unhealthy for use by anybody reasonable. The pantry was partially full of stuff from previous visitors contrary to what the signed agreement says. Linen and towels were clean and ready to use, but one doona had a musty smell, and we swapped for another from the other bed. The garage is not part of the rental, so we parked just in front of it, not a problem. The property is well fenced with a medium size garden and a covered outdoor area that needed a good cleaning before it could be used, great lights though. The property is located some 300 metres from Tomakin beach, which is excellent for families with small kids and pets. You can enjoy a nice walk along the beach, swim in the beach and explore the area. The locals are friendly, chatty and give you free information about the area which is great. Tomakin has recently expanded the residential area, so you will see lots of new houses around with access to Barlings and Tomakin beach within walking distance. A petrol station is just at the entrance.
