Secluded Cabin with Hot Tub and 10 Acres of Woods | House in Dingmans Ferry

3 Bedroom House in Dingmans Ferry
Things guests love about our cabin; soaking in the hot tub and gazing at the stars, sitting around the large fire pit with friends and family, being nestled in the woods surrounded by nature, lighting a fire in the woodstove on a cold night.
Sitting on 10 acres of wooded land and connecting to thousands of acres of Delaware State Forest, there's ample outdoor fun for you and your family.
We're about 1.5 hours from New York City; escape for the weekend or spend some time working remotely.
The thing that sets this cabin apart is the location. It's deep in the Delaware State Forest, and unlike most Poconos rentals, it's not in a tightly packed community; it sits on a 10-acre wooded lot which even features a small stream running through it.
The kids will enjoy riding bikes up and down the large driveway, exploring the woods (including a path down to the stream), and having s'mores on the fire. There's plenty of room to run around.
All manner of wildlife are often glimpsed by visitors. Black bears and deer are particularly common in certain seasons.
Wondering what to do around there?
- Check out a map of all the hiking trails in the Delaware State Forest, you're literally in the middle of that forest.
- We're about 30 minutes away from the town of Milford, which will be your go-to spot for dining and shopping (or to check out the Log Tavern Brewery).
- We're also about 20 minutes from the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. This is basically a National Park and is a real treasure; hiking, biking, kayaking/canoeing, waterfalls... it really has it all.
To be honest, though, most folks that visit just spend the weekend on the property. Between nature, our hot tub (which is functional year-round), and fire pit, most folks are content to just relax.
We have a max occupancy of 8 people. We have 3 bedrooms which provide enough bedding for 3 couples comfortably. We provide bedding and towels.
There is a set of twin bunk beds in the master bedroom plus a futon which create 3 more beds. There is additionally a roll-away twin bed which, if placed in the extra room, can create a fourth bedroom.
There is also a pack-and-play crib for folks with babies or toddlers.
We have a Weber charcoal grill. There's usually charcoal around that previous guests have left, but you should plan on bringing your own just in case.
Essentials:
We supply at least 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, one new sponge for dishwashing, 2 rolls of paper towels for the kitchen, one garbage bag per pail, a lighter, a small amount of kindling, and firewood for the woodstove. Bring extra toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, firestarters, firewood for the outside firepit, charcoal, lighter fluid, soap and shampoo, etc.
Cooking basics:
Note that we *do* stock salt, pepper, and coffee filters. There's a variety of spices available. We also try to keep cooking oil and spray stocked. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans.
