Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Friendly staff. Comfortable room (if a little cramped). Quiet. Convenient parking. Good dog walking areas. At the time of booking there were no double rooms available, but on arrival we asked and were transferred to a double.

Negative: Having been told the hotel was very busy and that we would need to book for the restaurant, it turned out there were 5 other tables occupied and within 20 minutes we were the only ones in the dining room. No drinks orders from the table and there was nobody at the bar. A long wait for service and the drinks had to be paid for separately.

Summary: A comfortable and convenient stop over to break a long journey. Lacked atmosphere.
