Sheepwash Lodge is a wooden lodge built specifically as a holiday home on the outskirts of West Wittering village.
The Lodge has an open plan kitchen/dining room with comfy seating and doors onto a patio. There's a large ground floor south facing bedroom and a beautiful sunny sitting room with an excellent sofa bed.
It has off road parking for two vehicles.
Sheepwash Lodge has the added advantage of being near Sheepwash Barn which sleeps 6 , ideal for the extended family group or friends.
Located on a rural road just outside West Wittering, Sheepwash Lodge was designed and built in 2018 as a bespoke holiday retreat.
The Lodge is a single storey timber clad home capturing the Eastern and Southern countryside aspects, ensuring a bright, light and sunny space all day.
The exterior landscaping allows guests to let the outside in .
The kitchen/dining area is spacious and comfy, modern and well equipped opening onto a patio garden for breakfast in the sun.
The light sunny sitting room has a dual aspect east and south and can double up as a second bedroom with the use of a sofa bed. The patio doors lead into the front garden bbq/ lounging area.
The generously sized bedroom is light and airy with double doors onto the south facing decked front garden . The bedroom has a kingsize bed, and room enough for a travel cot and plenty of cupboard space.
The shower room is light and modern .
Sheepwash Lodge has it's own private garden and is on the Salterns Way cycle path, so bring your bikes.
10 Minute cycle to the beach.
25 minute walk through the village or pre book parking at West Wittering beach .
There is always someone to answer your calls.
The Lodge is situated just outside West Wittering on a rural road, which is a popular cycle and walking route to the coast, (Salterns Way).
We're a short distance from the beautiful Blue Flag West Wittering beach.
which now operates a book in advance system for car parking.
Our property is approximately a 20-25 minute walk, 5 minute cycle away.
It is a pleasant walk to the beach with pavement all the way , taking you past the Little Gallery, Tessiers Butcher, the Wave gift shop, general store, The Landing coffee shop and The Wittering Pub.
There are public tennis courts and a children's play area in the village.
Chichester is a wonderful city with it's renowned theatre, Pallant House Art Gallery, Cathedral and more.
Visit Goodwood there's always something going on either at the airfield , road race track or up at the spectacular horse racing venue with views over the downs. There's the world renowned Festival of Speed in June and the Revival in September, two unique events.
To the east is the beautiful medieval Arundel Castle and going west you have Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
Closer to home there's Hunston Golf Club's crazy golf an adventure in itself!
Parking for two vehicles on the driveway.
Regular buses from Chichester stop within 2 mins walk from the Lodge.
Salterns Way cycle path passes the driveway so bring your own bikes or try Barreg Cycles Fishbourne to see if they have any hire ones available.
This is a fabulously peaceful retreat with the added advantage , should you want to extend an invitation to friends or family to stay in Sheepwash Barn.
The Barn sleeps six but you can maintain your feeling of privacy and space and peace.
