Positive: Amazing house, much better than it looked on the pictures provided. Everything high spec and well maintained, really comfortable beds, 5 spacious bedrooms, very well laid out as 3 en-suite and 2 with a shared bathroom which suited us well as three families with young children. Three of the bedrooms have balconies. One is downstairs. Sauna, hot tub, feature fire and outdoor BBQ got lots of use! The house is exceptionally well stocked with more kitchen utensils, crockery, glasses, etc than you’d ever need. Also loads of extra blankets, towels, dressing gowns etc as if it was a classy hotel. And four fold out ‘Z-beds’ in the garage for flexible sleeping options. Amazing views out to the mountains and the big garden was a sun trap and great for the kids to play football. Blue-tooth Bose speaker bigger than me (no exaggeration!) was a classy touch. The various fridges were all well stocked with basic food and the wine fridge was also pre-stocked! Overall we were blown away by this house!
Negative: All hot water throughout the house seems to be supplied from the local natural thermal springs which is great for your skin (you notice how soft your skin is right from the first immersion) but the sulphury ‘eggy’ smell took a day or two to get used to. However by midweek we all agreed that we’d got used to it and all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Location is pretty remote and there was building work going on next door, which didn’t bother us in the least but just mentioning it here for completeness.
