HOUSE RULES AND POLICIES:
- Must be at least 25 years old to book. - We require a copy of every person's Photo ID over the age of 18 - No smoking in properties. No smoking within 20 ft of the exterior doors. There is a $500.00 fine if we find any smells or evidence of smoking.

Summary: While the Highlands is a spacious four-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath in excellent proximity to Charlotte.... it needs a LOT of love to make it worth the price. The neighborhood is decent and the neighbors all wave and say hi - but the house itself has little to no privacy as it is in the center of a busy neighborhood with every window of the home looking directly at or into a neighboring house. The house itself, however; has been used and abused as short-term housing - and it shows. Our arrival found the house full of cobwebs, dust, dead bugs, broken garbage disposal with standing water, and mold in the coffee maker. It took us a full day to do what we could with cleaning it up, even though the property manager said that someone had been there the previous week and even though we pay a cleaning fee through VRBO with the promise that the home would be clean upon arrival. However, the home also needs a ton of love that we couldn't give it. The backyard is full of dead grass and fire ant hills. The furniture is stained and grimy... not only on the dining room chairs but the white curtains and even the white bed linens are stained and yellowing. The carpets are stained. And much of the furniture is broken - the dining room and kitchen chairs have broken legs and are coming apart, the patio recliners are missing bolts and rusting, and the couch has some odd panel that falls off every time you try to sit in the corner or around the corner of the sectional.
