Cottontail Lodge is situated on forty five majestic acres tucked in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains conveniently located 7 minutes from the town of Burnsville and 55 minutes from Asheville. Thoughtfully built and inspired by nature, the Lodge faces an unruly berry garden and beautiful mountain view’s. This 5000 sq ft Lodge sleeps up to 11 guest offering 3 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms, a family room and a game room complete with a ping pong table, a lounge area, kids play area and many other games. The Lodge itself along with all of its amenities are absolutely amazing. But the breathtaking grounds that the Lodge is situated on is something that one must see and experience to truly appreciate it with all of its beauty. Step out on to the deck with a cup of coffee and take it the morning air, take a seat and enjoy the views or a good read. Explore the land and all of its magical vistas, go throw a line in the fish pond, take a hike in the rolling fields, relax and unwind under a blanket of stars by the fire-pit. A few days prior to your arrival you will receive the cabins address, check-in/check-out instructions, door entry codes, wifi codes, house and property information as well as local suggestions of things to experience. If you received the property directly from our website you will receive this information in an email. You you reserved the property through a third party platform such as Airbnb or VRBO. They will provide you with this information. We reserve through Airbnb the information will be under guest resources five days prior to your arrival. If you reserved through VRBO the information will be sent to you in the the message thread where you booked the property and received your reservation confirmation message.
Please respect the neighbors and clean up after yourselves.
GUESTS ARE EMAILED CODE TO ACCESS, DRIVING DIRECTIONS AND INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROPERTY. PRIOR TO ARRIVAL, NO OFFICE VISIT TO PICK UP KEYS!

This is a SMOKE FREE environment! Please don't smoke in the cabin. If you choose to smoke outside please dispose of your cigarette butts.
PHONE SERVICE: Cell phone reception is generally good, but it can be spotty at times. We are in the mountains.
CHILDREN: This house is not child-proofed for young children. There are also no accommodations for babies.
SUPPLIES: Groceries and supplies are available within 5 to 10 miles, but we suggest guests bring what they may need for immediate use so they can stay and relax on the property for their first meals, if so desired.
FIRES: Guests are welcome to use the fire pit year-round. However, we do not provide firewood. You can purchase this at many of the local convenience stations, local grocery stores or Walmart. It's generally around $5 per bundle.
NO SMOKING POLICY due to guest and owner allergies. You will be charged an extra cleaning fee of $200 if you smoke inside the cabin. If you smoke outside please dispose of your cigarette butts properly.
