Located in the beautiful bridle path neighborhood, our 4 bedroom 3 bathroom heritage home is an oasis for families, couples, or groups of friends looking to have an experience away that is not unlike a cottage getaway, but right in the heart of the city! The space features a bright and spacious interior, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pool, a unique layout, and a fully equipped entertainer’s kitchen.
As soon as you walk through the fairytale-esque front gate you’ll be swept away by this truly majestic property. Built in the 1917s, and later remodelled under the direction of famed architect Fred Fletcher, this Tudor style heritage home boasts a very rich history, which has been covered by news outlets such as the Toronto Star. Previously known as the iconic stone residence, 'The Gate House' was the former gatehouse of a once vast estate, which adds to its ever enchanting allure and rich history.
Walking through the double-wide doors you will immediately feel the wonderful stories this unique home has to tell. The entranceway opens into the historic stone-walled archway, and then sprawls out into an open-concept living and dining room, a warm and welcoming space that will leave a lasting impression on everyone that through.
The home is surrounded by floor to ceiling glass windows that face onto the private pool and perennial gardens, truly allowing you to feel that you are living within nature, despite being in the city!
The living room has a massive 6 seater sofa that folds-out into a massive sofa-bed that is perfect for families looking to kick back and relax and enjoy a movie on the 50” windscreen Samsung Smart TV.
The dining room holds a stunning 8 seater dining table, with space to pull up a couple of additional chairs for bigger families and groups. The living and dining areas back on to a fully-equipped chic gourmet kitchen that is an absolute dream to cook in and a true entertainers delight! Serve appetizers and drinks from the comfort of the kitchen, while your guests enjoy chatting to you at the breakfast bar!
A truly unique oasis, the property is surrounded by 100 year old trees that provide privacy, and will make you forget that you are right in the heart of the city. The stunning pool is the key attraction of the home, and has been thoroughly enjoyed by our guests in the past. Enjoy a lovely outdoor BBQ, with our gas grill whilst your family enjoys splashing in the pool.
Our splendid home is located in the beautiful Bridle Path-Sunnybrook-York Mills neighborhood, just a stone's throw from shops on Bayview, grocery stores, parks and TTC Bus & Subway access. Grab your groceries from Whole Foods Market, Summerhill Market, Metro, Gaia Natural Foods and much more in close vicinity. Nearby public parks include Stratford Park, Cheltenham Park and Wanless Park. Guests can also enjoy many wonderful restaurants, cafes and entertainment options all within a 5-minute drive from our home. Located near Bayview & Lawrence, we are just a 15 minute drive (or 25 min public transport ride) from Downtown Toronto and all that it has to offer. If you are visiting Toronto for the first time, please don’t hesitate to ask us how best to get around the city!
