Located above the garage, access to the main living space of the home is through a flight of stairs. An open layout seamlessly combines the kitchen/dining area and living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances and counter space you'll need to prepare delicious meals to enjoy at the table with seating for four. The dining table in the kitchen has space to seat four people comfortably.
The living room is a great place to hang out with guests while enjoying the lake views through a wall of windows from the comfort of a sectional sofa. You'll also enjoy two armchairs strategically placed near the electric fireplace, perfect for catching up on a good read. There is also a wall-mounted Samsung TV for movie nights and a convenient desk for remote work or distance learning. Right off the living room is a small, furnished balcony with views of the lake and lovely gardens, an idyllic setting for cups of morning coffee or glasses of evening wine. Both bedrooms have luxurious beds, ceiling fans, and heating/air conditioning to keep things comfortable during all months. The full bathroom has a tub/shower combination. This home provides close proximity to all the local area sites and activities and is the perfect place for a quiet getaway up north.
A short drive down the road will take you to Riverside Canoe Rentals on the Platte River, Cherry Bowl Drive-In Theatre (one of the only two drive-in theaters in Michigan), numerous golf courses, and the beautiful Lake Michigan beaches. This retreat is right on the shores of Big Platte Lake and is within minutes of Lake Michigan, Long Lake, Rush Lake, Crystal Lake, and Little Platte Lake. Point Betsie Lighthouse is the perfect gateway to Lake Michigan offering beautiful scenery. Downtown Beulah and Honor are less than 10 minutes away. Points of interest are Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore and Dunes, Platte River Canoeing/Kayaking, Gwen Frostic Prints, Gulf and Waterpark at Crystal Mountain, Traverse City, Leland, Charter fishing out of Frankfort, MI, and wineries in Leelanau County.
