The Space:
The Cowboy Retreat can comfortably sleep thirteen guests with its three and a half bedrooms, six beds and a queen sleeper sofa. This house has many unique features that make it a special place to stay:
-The main level bathroom has a full bathtub and stand-up shower, while the basement bathroom is attached to the bedroom and has a full bathtub with no shower.
-The Cowboy Retreat shares walls with another short-term rental above the main level, so please be respectful of any neighbors and observe quiet hours between 10pm-6am.
-This historic home is full of quirks, oddities, and treasures that you will be able to discover during your stay!

This is a beautiful 100-year-old home full of history; the Cowboy Retreat was built shortly after Wyoming became a state! Outlaws and ranchers used to roam across the beautiful hills that Sheridan occupies today. Although the history of this house is very much alive, the Cowboy Retreat has been tastefully updated to combine its past with modern comforts.
A few features to be aware of that make this property unique are:
-The main level bathroom has a full bathtub and standup shower. The basement bathroom is attached
to the bedroom and has a full bathtub with no shower.
-There is another short-term rental above the main level. Noise can travel in old homes (i.e. its historic
wooden floors can be sometimes squeaky) so please be respectful of any neighbors and they will be
respectful of you. We ask all guest to observe quiet hours between 10pm-6am.
-The Cowboy Retreat has all the uniqueness and mystery deserving of its past—a hundred years of
quirks, oddities, and treasures are yours to discover!

At this convenient home you will be able to enjoy keyless entry provided, no need to stress about keys! The entry code provided upon check in! ( This is changed remotely so you can rest assured you are in a safe home!)
Guests will have access to the entire main level and basement of the house!! You will find yourself with an abundance of space and privacy!
(Please note, there is a one bedroom unit upstairs as well, they understand stomping and late night noise is not allowed, if you run into any issues with this at all please simply text us and we will see to it this is addressed immediately, although it is in confidence not to be expected. )
The Neighborhood:
When we say convenient, we mean it! This family home is steps from the very best Sheridan has to offer, while only a short walk to downtown! You may also walk the other way to enjoy some amazing Scoops Ice-cream at our local kendrick park! ( Trails and sidewalks lead you right there!) Downtown you will find great antique stores, wine bars, restaurants, boutiques, and shopping are all a short distance away. Stroll the area, or enjoy hiking the trails or the next door park!
Red-grade Road is a popular route up the mountain face, open in the spring and summer season although closed to cars in the winter.
If you still want to see the mountains but prefer less rugged or are traveling in a 2WD vehicle, head up above Dayton, Wy to find a highway leading right to lake Sibley, Steamboat Rock and much more!
Museums and historic landmarks fill the area with an award winning golf course only 10 minutes away!

Getting Around:
Sheridan Wyoming is a perfect sized community, although you can walk to many locations sometimes a drive is preferred. You will find most attractions are under 10 minutes away, some 30-60 minutes, but well worth the scenic drive! Museums and incredible restaurants, kendrick park and more are all within walking distance!

With only a short drive or walk you can enjoy all of the food, activities, breweries and attractions Sheridan has to offer!

The Cowboy Retreat is located in a very safe and friendly neighborhood, with not only a short walk to downtown Sheridan but also great neighbors.
There is another short-term rental upstairs. (Please note that you will still have 100% privacy and your
own space.) If you run into any issues with noise, please contact us immediately and we will address it.
This house has been thoroughly disinfected after each guest for your comfort and safety with all CDC
recommended guidelines followed strictly.
Absolutely no smoking anywhere on-premises. $300 fine for any smoking/vaping on-premises.
Quiet hours from 10pm – 6am every day. Please, respect the upstairs guests and neighbors by
observing these quiet hours. Contact us if you have any issues with noise.
Cancellation policy strictly enforced.
If available, 1-2 cars may park in the driveway to the right of the home. Any additional cars have plenty
of street parking options available. The driveway and street parking are shared with the one-bedroom
upstairs unit.
If you have a trailer there is parking at the end of the block, a parking garage at the bank nearby, or you
may park it on the street in front or near the home, just please be mindful of the neighbors. Be
absolutely sure the neighbors can exit their driveways easily.
Trash cans are behind the house in the alleyway.
There is a pet fee of $15 per pet/night. Please do not allow pets on the furniture. Guest will be
responsible for any damages and extra cleaning fees.
