Encounter Roosevelt elk and black tail deer, watch eagles in flight, and explore the nearby Salmon River with its Harbor seals. After your adventure, unwind in the private 8-person hot tub or indulge in an outdoor shower, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature.
Indoors, relax in your open-concept grand room, complete with a 75" tv, a cozy wood fireplace and floor to ceiling windows, from there step through a sliding door to 2000 sq ft of wraparound patio deck. If you’re feeling hungry, the large, well equipped custom kitchen with abundant work surfaces is ready for your culinary exploits.
Added perks include a media room, loft retreat area, game/remote office area, and access to the community clubhouse with a heated pool (in season). Explore the beautiful Salmon River in our complimentary kayaks and paddle board, with a quick paddle to a secluded, sandy beach, ripe for exploration.

THE AREA
Walk out your door and you are immediately at the base of the notable Cascade Head headland - all 270 acres protected by a UNESCO biosphere reserve, Nature Conservancy and US Forest Service Experimental Forest. Be prepared to be captivated by herds of Rosevelt elk and rangale’s of black tail mule deer grazing on the grass fields surrounding the property. Just a short walk away, visit the Salmon River where resident Harbor seals sun on the riverbanks while Peregrine falcons, Great blue heron, Bald and Golden eagles feast on the plentiful fish available in these protected estuary and marine reserve waters. Upon returning to the ranch house, indulge in the unique and rare experience to shower outdoors while surrounded by nature and then immerse yourself in your own private hot tub, while listening to the chirping of birds, the relaxing sound of the wind winding through the sacred Sitka trees, and the burbling of nearby headland creeks. All these natural amenities, and so much more, will set the stage for a memorable experience that will last a lifetime!
THE SPACE
This higher end property recently completed a major 18 month remodel in June 2021 and has designer finishes and all new furniture throughout. Creature comforts abound for you and your guests: a new 8 person private hot tub, new designer glass and stone shower with 4 rain heads, new Victorian claw foot volcanic soaking tub, new large wrap around deck and patio areas for lounging, dining and experiencing the sweeping territorial views of grasslands, coastal hills, headland, beach and ocean, a new media room, for entertaining a vaulted grand room with Cathedral windows and a cosy wood fireplace opens to custom well-equipped kitchen to inspire the cooks in your group. For your convenience there is 3500 sf of living space spread over 5 extra large bedrooms (4 ground floor) , 3 full custom bathrooms (2 ground floor) , a relaxing revive/loft area, bonus/games room, and laundry area. The outdoor 2000 sf wrap deck and patio has separate areas for dining, grilling, spa, tanning, lounging and s’more time for the kids!

THE COMMUNITY
The Cascade Head Ranch development is located on the sunny south slope of the Cascade headland, arguably the most notable headland on the beautiful coast of Oregon. Its history is rich, and consists of less than 90 homes spread out over 200 acres on estate size lots of which this property, built and owned by the developer, is located on a choice 3 acre lot.
Did we mention that you and your guests will have access to the community clubhouse and in-ground heated pool (opened May through September) nestled on the banks of the Salmon River? It’s a mere few minute drive from the house. Enjoy this clubhouse and picnic by the adjacent pool or grill your dinner on the adjoining deck while watching the seals frolic in the river. Or if you feel inclined, cross the narrow river on the two kayaks that we provide and you’ll be rewarded by a secluded beautiful white sand beach where you can explore caves, grottos, and tidal pools at low tide and view the spectacular sunsets behind the picturesque Three Rocks sea stacks as it sinks in the mighty Pacific Ocean.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
The ground floor layout consist’s of 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms, one with a king size bed, two with queen beds and one with a bunk bed. All beds (except the bunk bed) are adjustable and have remote controls to adjust the head and foot incline or activate the built-in massager. The second floor layout consist’s of a loft/retreat area ideal for yoga, stretching or relaxing, a separate bonus room with a queen sleeper sofa and a recently renovated bathroom with Victorian claw foot tub to soak away the stress of city life.
Cascade Head Ranch HOA rules are firm that there can be no more than 8 adults and 3 children total.
There is room to park up to 4 vehicles, trailers and boats are not permitted to be parked on HOA properties and RVs cannot be used for living accommodations while on property.
VIDEO/SECURITY NOTE
Exterior surveillance cameras are in multiple locations to monitor the parking area and all exterior entrances. There is a sign in the parking area reminding guests of this. The cameras are turned off remotely once you check in and back on after you check out. The cameras can not provide a video feed of any sort while they are off. The main entrance lock status (open/lock) and internal temperatures are remotely monitored. There are no interior surveillance cameras.
ELK NOTE
Our local elk are free spirits, much like the wind that caresses our beautiful coast. While they often love to grace us with their majestic presence, they do follow their own schedule, which, regrettably, we don't have access to. Therefore, we cannot absolutely guarantee an elk sighting during your stay. We've tried scheduling meetings, offering favorite snacks, even sending calendar invites, but they seem to dance to their own tune! But isn't that part of their charm? Rest assured, even if they're a bit shy during your visit, there's a multitude of other natural wonders waiting to delight you.
