3 Bedroom Cottage in Bellaire
Located just one block off of the iconic Northern MI town of Bellaire, home of Shorts Brewery, Shanty Creek Resort, Torch Lake, Lake Bellaire, many golf courses, and Glacier Hills, sits our renovated & cozy Scandinavian cottage! With 3 spacious bedrooms and a sleeper sofa in the living room, this home was designed with friends, family or couples in mind as a place to gather and make memories. Parking space for a small trailer, boat, and a few vehicles! 20 min from Lake MI beaches & wineries and only minutes away from Shuss Mountian, Shanty Creek, and 5 golf courses.
The spaces
Downstairs:
Large front porch with grill, seating, and minimalist decor. Upon walking in there is a front shoe/coat closet to limit clutter. You enter walking into the dining room & kitchen: Full kitchen with island (seats 3), range, oven, dishwasher, large farmhouse sink, microwave, coffee bar, and full dining table (seats 6-10).
Laundry Room/Storage Closet: Off back hall of kitchen behind fridge.
Powder Bath off kitchen downstairs.
Living room: Built in window bench with storage cabinets to the left and right, and built in cabinet storage under the bench. Large sectional sofa with pull out bed, large TV, and electric fireplace. Back patio door off the living room to the backyard. This space also has a desk & chair!
Upstairs:
Full large bath with bath/shower and large vanity.
King Suite: One King with additional twin stowed under, dresser and large closet.
Bunk Room: Full, twin bunk bed, smaller closet, dresser and a beautiful limewash accent wall.
Beige King Suite: King bed & a stowaway crib and another large closet!
Guest access
You have access to everything but our Michigan basement and main garage. However you will have the entire property to use, including the upstairs, main floor, backyard, front yard and large parking area, as well as our "garage entry way room" for additional storage! We will also leave our Shanty Creek Pool Pass that gets you into the pools/hot tub at Shanty Creek Lakeside Resort. However, there is a $500 replacement fee if this pool card is lost during your stay.
Other things to note
This is a renovated 1950's home, renovated by the owners. Jenna is particularly inspired by the California rustic coast blended with Scandinavian design. It does have character from being lived in over the years but it was also fully renovated during our years of living in this home. We always had the dream to rent it out to others to gather and host in! It would be amazing for bachelorette parties, small showers, a friends weekend where multiple families or couples chip in and stay together, etc!
