Tranquility Base is surrounded by the beautiful indigenous vegetation of the dry tropics, including hoop pines, kapok trees, soap trees, Townsville wattles, spinifex, native frangipani, native gardenias and paperbarks. There are many opportunities for wildlife encounters, including rock wallabies and possums.
