Positive: Location: As we managed to visit Madeira, I can say that the location was really good. The roads were large enough not to present any issues, there was no traffic and everything we needed was just a few minutes away. ( A small shopping-mall 5 minutes by car, places to eat 2 minutes, attractions, depending on what you want to visit, the location offers safe and direct routes to them ). Building: It has an elevator for easy access & free safe parking on premises. Not to mention the fact that the place is well taken care of. Apartment: It is a large apartment, having 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, 1 livingroom, large closed terrace. Amenities: The apartment is equiped with everything that you need and much more. ( hair dryer, dish washer, big fridge, washing machine, Smart TV, wifi, stove and so so much more ) We had a good stay during our time in Madeira.
Negative: I know that some of the points are not actually related to the apartment and services but it does have an impact on your stay ( to the point that it may badly influence it ). 1. The company that manages the property requires you to pay additional city taxes after you book the place ( thing is, we stood into other accommodations too that didn’t require us to pay it ) 2. The company that manages the property doesn’t show too much interest, or so it feels like ( for example: We were asked to fill the check-out form 2 days prior to our departure which made us feel unwanted. We had another issue which they couldn’t assist us with, will mention it further below. 3. The furniture needs a little retouch as you can clearly see that it is a little bit rusty and outdated. ( after all it’s just a matter of taste, for us it didn’t actually matter but yea, a little modern style wouldn’t hurt ) 4. The only places where the wifi works are: bedroom / livingroom 5. The neighbours are loud ( they have small kids who run and scream during the night, so expect that in some nights you may hear a lot of noises. This is the part where we asked the company that manages the property to help us with them but they said they have no contact, which for the future, they should get in touch with them ). 6. The overall value for the money isn’t so good after you see in person the apartment ( it looks better in pictures )but yet again, it depends on the type of person you are. For us, it was just fine but others that may book should take this into consideration.
Summary: Nice cozzy place that could use just a little bit of love.
