The Blackthorne (formerly the Blackthorne Inn) is a 6 bedroom 5.5 bath totally private 3200 square foot home resembling a giant, elegant tree house with 3500 square feet of decking adjacent to a national park (The Point Reyes National Seashore) yet centrally located only 1.4 miles from the town of Point Reyes with its fine dining and shops, 2.5 miles from the village of Inverness, minutes from world class ocean beaches and Tomales Bay State Park swimming beaches, less than a mile from the Park’s headquarters with endless hiking trails and less than one hour from San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge and the Napa/Sonoma wine country.

General Description: This 4-story home sits on a private 3 acres that feels like a thousand acres as you are surrounded by national park in total privacy. The Blackthorne rises to the level of the treetops with the help of a 4-story handmade cedar spiral staircase. The atrium built with floor-to-ceiling glass doors from San Francisco’s former train station connects to the living room with its 20 foot ceiling, 6 skylights, castle-like turrets, and walk-in stone fireplace.
First, Second and Third Floors: The first floor has two large bedrooms, one with its own additional sitting room, each with private entrances and decks. There is one full bath on this floor. The second floor has the living room, large dining area, kitchen, atrium, half bath and massive decking and separate laundry room with 1 washer and 2 dryers. The third floor has two very unique gabled bedrooms complete with skylights and stained glass, each with its own private bathroom and deck.
4th Floor and separate 1-bedroom suite: The octagonal shaped bedroom on the 4th floor has floor to ceiling glass on 7 of its 8 sides and treetop panoramic views on all sides. This room connects to a one-of-a-kind footbridge that leads to a private deck with bathroom and hot tub and both indoor and outdoor showers. In addition, there is a separate one-bedroom suite next to the 5-car parking area with queen bed, small living room, private bath and Satellite TV included with your rental.
