4 Bedroom Villa in Serpentona

Villa Alicia is a short ten minute walk from the fabulous beach of Cala Galdana. With its many beautiful family friendly beaches, the popular diving school and the marvellous selection of shops, restaurants and cafes, Villa Alicia is perfectly located for a relaxing and enjoyable summer holiday.
On the ground floor is a spacious living room with dining area, separate fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a wet room ideal for those less mobile*. On the first floor there are two twin bedrooms both with private balcony and one with en-suite bathroom facilities. There is also a double bedroom and a decent family bathroom. The villa benefits from fully automated air conditioning systems to help keep you cool during the hot summer months.
Outside, the villas have been carefully constructed to give easy access from the downstairs living space to the covered terrace, with a small step to the beautiful pool area and sun terrace complete with table tennis for your enjoyment.
*Separate ramp access into the villa is available with a small lip from the terrace to pool area
**Due to the San Joan Festival, all bookings which include 22nd – 24th June, we shall only accept Family bookings.

This villa is in an exceptionally hilly/mountainous area. To access the villa there is a path which is 100cm wide along with 4 steps up to the villa itself. The front door has a width of 81cm and other doors that access the pool area are 81cm wide. Paths from the villa to the pool are 1m wide, the grounds are even and the pool has steps with no handrail to enter. There is 1 step down to the pool area but there is also ramp access available. The widest bedroom door on the ground floor is 81cm wide and the widest bathroom door on the ground floor is 81cm wide. Summary: We stayed from 13th to 20th May 2017. The villa itself is gorgeous. It is a modern purpose built villa with stone tiled flooring throughout. The bedrooms are all very big and have ample storage space. The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, cutlery, crockery, glasses, cups and other handy kitchen utensils. There's even a built in brick bbq outside. The living/diner is huge with slightly dated wooden furniture that are comfortable none the less. Access to the villa is via some steps at the front or you can go up a ramp that goes around to the back and get in the back door.  The villa is very secure. All the windows and doors downstairs have steel shutters with good locks and the widows themselves (and patio doors) are modern multilocking double glazing. There are shutters on the upstairs windows and balcony doors too expect for 2 small bathroom windows and a widow on the stairs. Outside the villa is fabulous. The pool is a good size and from 1m (3'3") to 1.7m (5'7") deep. It's not heated though so it took us about 10 mins to acclimatise each time. . I found the best thing was to jump straight  in it, during the afternoon. There is a table tennis table by the pool and plenty of space to play. There are some very old bats and balls to play with which were fine for us beginners. But you might like to bring your own if you have them. The pool is overlooked by 3 neighbouring properties and one of the neighbours pools is right next to the villa's.  I imagine that in the height of the summer it can be a bit noisy and not very private. But we went in mid may and none of the other villas were occupied. A man come round once a week to check the pool (without warning). One day we came back to find an ant infestation in the laundry room. We called the rep who answered, despite it being nearly 10pm and the next day the pool man came round with some ant killer and sprayed the whole villa. Problem solved. Profuse apologies were given. Apparently the spray lasts a year and we had just arrived toward the end of that period. The hill down to the resort is steep. It would take adults about 10 mins to descend and 15 mins to get back up. With out 3 year old and a Buggy for our 9 month old this was more like 15 mins down and 25 mins up.
