Positive: We spent 5 nights with our 3 and 5-year-old kids at Villa Coco. We enjoyed our time there. The staff (Leo) was super friendly, very helpful and pro-active. He cleaned the pool every morning (from leaves) and treated the algae in the pool after day 2 or 3 there. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the sun, warmth, and occasional visitor from the nearby living goat family ;-) The internet was very fast and stable, which allowed us to work. The hammock outside seemed very new and was super comfy. We enjoyed the walk down to and up from the beach of Taganga and the quietness up there.
Negative: The place was not very clean when we first arrived and many of the furniture pieces were almost falling apart (cupboard in the kitchen, and upstairs bedroom). The pool was swimmable but had so many algae that we couldn't see to the ground (1,1 meters) – that was fixed while we were still there though, and we used it anyways and it was fine. We would have loved a bit more equipment in the kitchen (e.g. some basic condiments and lids for the pots)
Summary: Not an incredible comfort experience, but good value for money and we enjoyed our stay there.
