Positive: Beautiful villa, fabulous pool and very comfortable. Rita & Paolo are the nicest, most welcoming hosts - we were greeted with a package of fresh bakery goods on arrival and Paolo was fastidious about cleaning the pool every day. They were super helpful and genuinely welcoming. About half an hour’s drive from Siracusa/Ortigia (very pretty).
Negative: Although the distance isn’t great, It’s not really possible to walk into Floridia (the villa is up in the hills just outside) so you absolutely need a car. And driving in Sicily is not for the faint-hearted. Floridia itself is a small town with a limited number of restaurants.
Summary: Beautiful villa, amazing hosts.
