3 Bedroom Cabin in Arnold, Sky High Ranch

Quiet Cabin overlooking the Pond, with all the modern features. This 3 bedroom plus loft is located 5 miles from Bear Valley in lovely Sky High Ranch, which keeps you off the beaten path, but close enough to enjoy all the amenities of the Bear Valley Ski Resort and Village. Spacious master bedroom has a king size bed with a beautiful bathroom and tub located perfectly to sit, soak and enjoy the view of the outdoors. Bedroom number two has a Queen bed and bedroom three has a Modern Murphy Bed for great space utilization. There is a Mud Room which has a washer and dryer and lots of storge space. In addition to the main home there is an out building that has been converted to its own sleeping quarters with a half bath. The living and kitchen are combined and have a wood burning stove and a super kitchen with an island for entertaining and cooking. An amazing modern home, perfectly located.

Summary: During the 2023 Bear Valley Music Festival, we rented this wonderfully-designed mountain home for 16 relaxing and carefree days. During parts of that time, members of our family joined us and they all enjoyed the home as much as we did. We understand that ours was the first rental of this home under the owners’ new arrangement with Bear Valley Vacation Rentals (BVVR). We thus thought it might be helpful if we jotted down some of our impressions. We have owned a home in nearby Bear Valley for 42 years. Our house suffered severe damage from the record snowfall last Winter, and it is currently being refurbished. Hence, our need for a rental for the festival. During our long time spending summer and winter vacations in the Bear Valley area, we have visited many homes. With this long experience, we can attest that 596 Sky High is one of the most comfortable and well- laid-out homes that we have seen. We loved the location of the home next to the small lake and meadow in Sky High. There are easy trials for walking and hiking just out the front door. The home is beautifully designed to take advantage of this fortunate location. The primary living space has spectacular floor-to- ceiling views of the lake, meadow, and background mountains. A wrap- around deck provides outside access to those commanding views. The home is perfect for anyone who wants to relax and read while enjoying mountain atmosphere. 596 also has a surprise bonus feature. A separate small building, probably built originally as a storage shed for a snowmobile, has been ingeniously converted into a bedroom with a half-bathroom. Our 22- year-old granddaughter loved having that personal space to hang out in and be separated from her parents and grandparents. We thus highly recommend 596 Sky High for anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing vacation in a delightful mountain setting. Sky High Ranch also is known for the congeniality and warmth of its homeowners, who have formed a close and welcoming community. We would love to return there anytime.
