3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Home hidden away on 5 forested acres close to Custer.
Can you hear the pines calling? Whispering, “Come away, come away, to me. Lay down your worries and rest with me? Come and explore with me . . .”
If not, you will soon! Our lovely, secluded home is located on 5 forested acres just a 10 minute drive from Custer, SD. It’s the perfect retreat for your family and/or friends!
Whispering Pines is a single house that sleeps up to 6 adults or 4 adults and 4 children. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a full bathroom attached. Two additional bedrooms share a hall bath complete with shower. One bedroom contains a queen-sized bed, and the other is outfitted two full sized beds. The kitchen contains all modern amenities – gas range, dishwasher, microwave, and a dining room table that seats 6. The house has an air conditioning unit and washer and dryer unit.
Our favorite part of the house is the lovely front porch that is perfect for coffee drinking in the morning, and a glass of wine at night. A propane grill is provided for your convenience along with tables and chairs.
For those looking to get off the beaten path, but not be too far from town, Whispering Pines is for you. The wooded property is accessed from either Highways 385 or 16 by a well-maintained gravel road. Once you are at Whispering Pines, you will have the opportunity to explore the property and experience features such as classic Black Hills boulders, and plenty of wildlife.
Speaking of wildlife, please be aware that the gate on the property will need to be kept closed at all times to keep the neighbor’s lovely cows and calves from coming onto the property. Be aware that Mountain lions and rattlesnakes do call the Black Hills home. Please note, like all of the Black Hills this property has large rocks, cliffs, small pond and wildlife. The pond is dangerous and fenced off. Do not let your children wonder without adult supervision.
