Positive: The owner is incredibly helpful and ready to assist and make suggestions for food and activities nearby. The location is perfect - near enough to shops and restaurants that you don't need to go into Yangshuo & West st, but only a 15-30 yuan car ride if you want to. Right next to the bike path so easy to pop out for a quick ride or an all day - we went twice because it was so easy. The room was spotless with huge fluffy towels and high quality sheets/blankets. Every direction has a different incredible view, it was like sleeping in the best treehouse. Breakfast was sooooo good!!! I was worried about switching to a Chinese style of breakfast, but they gave us so many options and showed us how to eat some of the new food, we had new favourites after the first day :)
Negative: I would like to stay longer!! Not much to complain about, but some people might want to be aware that this is a working pastoral area, so if the occasional farming smell like burning leaves will bother you, either keep your windows/door closed or head out during those times: most burning seemed to happen in the late afternoons, but was only green waste, no plastics so didn't bother us at all.
Summary: A peaceful and beautiful place to rest and rejuvenate, with the best host!
