This house has many of the original 1926 features (including a Batchelder fireplace!) & modern updates that will allow your friends and family to enjoy a bit of history in 2023.
The Oakland airport is 10 minutes away by car. Attractions in San Francisco are accessible via car, BART, or Uber/Lyft in 20-35 mins.
The space
The house has the original wood floors throughout most of the house and a large, updated kitchen with a kitchen island.
Our home is nearly 100 years old and, though greatly cared for and loved, shows its age in some places. Expect to find some wear and quaint aging both inside and outside.
The garage and long driveway is available for your use. Please note that any vehicle larger (wider) than a Toyota Highlander (large SUV) won’t fit through the gate to get to the garage. The driveway is also somewhat narrow, but contractors have fit trucks on the drive with no issue.

Pets are allowed and are $50 per pet, per stay. For example, if you bring 2 dogs, you would be charged $100 extra in pet fees for your stay.
No disruptive or late night parties/events are allowed whatsoever and are grounds for immediate removal from the property. This is not only per policy, but also because our neighbors would not appreciate it. This is a quiet, residential neighborhood.
If you would like to host a birthday party or graduation party that is during the day, please let us know BEFORE you book, as we will need to approve the event. There will also be additional, reasonable guest/event fees that apply.
Please note that nation-wide there have been thefts of certain car models and parts including, but not limited to: various models of Kias, Hondas, Chevy’s, Hyundais and Toyotas. Oakland is not immune from these nation-wide car theft patterns and we recommend that you are always aware of your surroundings and park your car in the garage or inside the gate (if it fits) and that your car is equipped with anti-theft mechanisms.
