Sure to be a Summer Highlight for your family!! Hitch up the boat, grab a fishing pole and enjoy an unforgettable stay at our beautiful 3000 sq ft home located on the banks BLACKFOOT RESERVOIR. Your stay will include a PRIVATE DOCK to swim around or to park your motorized boat (or jet skis) and enjoy full access to a sparsely populated 28 square mile lake. A canoe, SUP, paddle boat, and a few life jackets are all included!
Two public boat ramps are located in the nearby campground to launch from. (Can not launch from house)
Property includes a large deck over water, dock, fire pit area next to lake, a gas grill, covered deck, fenced yard in back to keep youngsters safe, & (for $25/ night) 2 RV Spots with FULL HOOKUPS (water, sewer, & power).
You will enjoy Starlink WIFI, 2 gas fireplaces, 3 large screen TVs (Netflix, Amazon Prime, & Disney Plus), pillow top beds, a large bathtub and walk-in shower, 2 window seats, a fully stocked kitchen (gas range, microwave, dishwasher), washer/dryer, soft water, walk-in closet, 2 sets of french doors leading to deck, a coffee maker, instant pot, outdoor refrigerator, patio furniture, and so much more!
“Caribou Lake House" is located just 38 miles from LAVA HOT SPRINGS and 15 miles from Soda Springs. You’ll find reasonably priced grocery stores, restaurants, an outdoor drive-in movie theater & a traditional movie theater, bowling alley, shave ice, the famous Soda Springs geyser, many wonderful parks (including one with a carbonated spring!), a beautiful golf course, etc...
Truthfully once you arrive at this lake house, you will never want to leave. This stunning lake is never crowded and relatively warm for swimming and playing during the late summer months. Blackfoot Res also has some of the best fishing in Idaho! Also water recreating (jet skiing, water skiing, and water sports) are happening ALL summer long.
While you are out enjoying the lake, be sure to check out “Bird Island” and the hundreds of segregated black & white birds that call this unique, barren island their home. A 20-minute BOAT RIDE to the town of Henry for ice cream or dinner is another activity that is sure to delight the family!
The home itself is tucked into a quiet little community between Dike Lake and Blackfoot Reservoir, with stunning views of China Cap Mountain. As you explore this little community of homes and cabins, you will likely come across a moose as they are plentiful.
The original "A-Frame" was built in the 1960's but has since been remodeled with knotty alder cabinets, new countertops, as well as flooring. The addition was custom designed in 2009 and provides all of the comforts of home.
Winter time is uniquely beautiful and perfect for ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice skating, or just sitting around the fire playing games and drinking hot cocoa.
