Positive: Staying at Ota‘s Pontoon is an absolute highlight and if I would take it as benchmark for other ratings, probably no other accommodation would get 5 stars. Ota is an excellent host. Communication was easy even before our stay, he shared helpful tips and ensured that we are enjoying our stay. Do not worry if you do not speak Japanese. All relevant information is available in English. The apartment is very nicely furnished and in the kitchen you find everything you need, from coffee machine to a pressure cooker. Another highlights are the large balcony and the private rooftop terrace. There js unobstructed view to the sea with Ishigaki on the left. There are several very good restaurants in walking distance as well as grocery stores. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure. Thanks for everything!
