Positive: The location is great! It is a very short walk to the beach and Broadwalk. The rooftop pool and view is very cool. All of the Costa staff we encountered were very nice. The only thing we really didn't like about the Costa property itself was that there is no ramp to the front desk, only steps and then a very slow, inconvenient lift you can use. We used a ride share so did not use the parking garage. Many reviewers have complained about the Resort Fees, but this is very clearly identified in the post and, in our opinion, worth the price. Your resort fee gets you access to the pool, pool/beach towels and exchange as much as you need, and 2 very nice chairs at the beach which would cost $20/each if renting directly through the rental company. They do have some beach toys available (first come, first serve) at the towel exchange room. This was a great unexpected bonus which saved us quite a bit as we didn't need to purchase any. We would stay again, but would book directly through Costa next time, for better hospitality and service - see below for why.
Negative: Regarding the actual condo unit (N215) and StaySol property management company: 1) We arrived to find the refrigerator not working, at all. The bottom freezer did work, but more as a refrigerator. StaySol, the property management company clearly knew this as we found a small square dorm type refrigerator next to the counter in the kitchen. However, they did not inform us of this prior to arrival and this is not sufficient for a family of 4 for 4 nights with groceries being delivered. We had to purchase a styrofoam cooler from the corner market ($20) to keep our milk and other items on ice to keep from spoiling. We did contact StaySol as soon as we found the fridge not working. They advised they would send someone to check on it. No one came until mid day the NEXT day, and that was only after repeated text messages and follow ups (they wouldn't answer the phone, only text). The maintenance crew confirmed the fridge was not working and did what they could to recommend to management that we be moved to a different unit. After maintenance left, we received no updates until close to 11 am the next day (after our second full night). At that time they did allow us to move to another unit (N309), with a working fridge. Still no washer/dryer though. 2) You are only supplied with 4 towels and 2 wash clothes for your entire stay. Which, while not ideal, would be manageable if there was a washer/dryer in the unit as the listing indicates. We did come prepared to wash items as needed. However, there is no washer/dryer in the unit. You must locate the condo community laundry room and pay to use the one washer or dryer that is available. 3) StaySol - we would not book a condo that is managed by StaySol again. We should have been advised that the actual refrigerator was not working and only a small dorm room type refrigerator was in the unit.
Summary: Great location and condo complex. Specific unit and property management company lacking.
