Positive: Jo’s Bed and Breakfast located in the beautiful, quaint, quiet,  leafy Diemen suburb of Amsterdam was, hands’ down, the best lodging we have ever experienced. A short walk or bike ride to quick transportation to Amsterdam’s center, a bountiful shopping center, and nearby university campuses and residences, Jo’s provided the best of all worlds for convenience, rest and a home away from home. (Free parking is also included…a bonus in the Greater Amsterdam area!!) In addition to the outstanding, impeccably clean, quiet,  tastefully and cheerily, well-appointed decorated historic home, Jo and Karen were the best hosts in our well-traveled experiences. They provided a delicious, fresh, home-cooked varying breakfast full of Dutch treats and settings. A basket of fragrant freshly baked breads and rolls, amazing pancakes, omelettes, fresh fruit and incredible fresh squeezed juice with endless supplies of high quality coffees and teas welcomed us each morning. They graciously and immaculately cleaned our private room and bathroom every day, offered thoughtful solutions to all of our inquiries and challenges and joined us in meaningful and memorable conversations. From a variety of personal notes, small Dutch gifts, chocolates, greetings in our language, plush robes and in-room refreshments to suggestions on tours, dining and shopping, their fabulous hospitality was second to none. If you are moving your child into university, or on business or are visiting Amsterdam as a tourist or are looking for a quiet, convenient alternative to the center’s chaos, Jo’s Amsterdam Bed and Breakfast is the place to stay. You will not be disappointed!! You will leave with newfound friends…not just hosts. We plan on coming back and telling all of our friends. Thank you for a most memorable experience!!!
