Positive: We loved the house!!! It's located in the middle of nowhere, in a quiet neighbourhood, BUT it's a great stop if you want to visit Vichy (as we did) or its area (even Clermont Ferrand). The house is spacious, not to say enormous in its size. Half of it is a private area (sleeping room, living room and bathroom), with a lot of windows but with heavy curtains in place, and half is a kitchen with a dining room looking out on the garden and the pool (there are no curtains, however, it still all "yours"). The kitchen is well equipped with quite a lot of stuff including coal for the the outside grill. The swimming pool is undoubtedly the key asset of Chez Marmotte. Warm (in August) and clean! We were informed by the host earlier that it might not be available (due to some problems related to the pump and filter) but happily, the issues were resolved and we had a chance to use it! The Internet was good enough for our needs. You'll have a private parking space behind a private gate :). The host/owner is very friendly and open. She doesn't speak much English, but we made it :) and had some short chats about kids :D and where are we heading next. We loved our short stay and a trip to Vichy by bike using Via Allier.
Negative: We lacked a chopping board to cut our baguette :D. The TV lacked support for Chromecast so there's only French TV no Netflix or Disney from your phone (at least and didn't manage) After a warm day, the house construction makes some noise when it cools down at night, so you'll hear wood cracking (nothing extraordinary).
