Positive: Merel and Paul were wonderful hosts. Before our holiday, they contacted us with all the necessary details for accessing the accommodation, which had a flexible self check-in. The house was excellent: clean, quiet, and furnished in a neat, simple style, with very comfortable beds. It had everything we could need: from an electric stove and a kettle (with tea filters) to a capsule coffee machine with coffee pods. The small garden offered enough privacy so we could enjoy it. We were also provided with two bikes during our stay, which was a lovely surprise. Since we had already planned to go cycling on several days, this really encouraged us to explore even more. There are shops, as well as bus and train stations, within a few minutes walk. From there, you can easily reach Keukenhof, Zandvoort aan Zee, IJmuiden, and Amsterdam. We actually cycled to all of these places. You can see a lot of flowers, charming small towns, canals, dunes, beaches, and even a national park in the area.
