Recently renovated: Spanish Colonial villa in historic Garza Blanca, just south of the Romantic Zone on the Banderas Bay in Puerto Vallarta. 2500 square feet of luxury living with modern amenities and classic Mexican architectural details nestled between lush forest, mountains and ocean. Top of the line appliances, water and electrical systems. This little enclave, Villas Altas Garza Blanca, sits perched on a hill in the Sierra Madres, on a cobblestone street, covered in bougainvillea.
There are ocean views from every room, including the two king bedrooms, each with an updated, en suite bathroom, vaulted ceilings, romantic lighting and stunning ocean views. Each bedroom has its own mini-split air conditioner and ceiling fan, smart TV, premium sound system, luxury cotton linens and down pillows. The master bath has a double marble shower with raindrop shower heads and a bench. Each bathroom has a lighted make up mirror. Laundry facilities with high efficiency washer and dryer are also included.
Watch the sunset as you make dinner in the fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and everything needed to prepare a gourmet meal. The dining terrace, just off the dining room, with full-sized gas grill, marble table and seating for four, is the best place to dine and enjoy the sunset.
The large, breezy living room is like your own forest tree house, with comfortable lounging area and adjacent pool terrace with outdoor living area.

Summary: My husband and I have stayed at many short term rental properties (usually via another platform) and can confidently say that Michele is the best host we’ve ever encountered. To call her a Super Host would be a gross understatement, just a wonderful human being. Las Mariposas is an exceptional home, spacious, full of character, very clean and comfortable, in a safe and secure neighborhood, and extremely well equipped. The house and pool cleaners are delightful. We stayed for 6 weeks and cooked a lot and were amazed at all that is available, even thoughtful items like a salad spinner, powerful blender, freezer packs and a cooler for trips to the markets in addition to a full set of pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. The pool is delightful and there are three outdoor spaces to enjoy. We especially enjoyed the balcony off the bedrooms. The views are breathtaking with spectacular sunsets and skies teeming with stars! On several occasions we watched and photographed whales cavorting in the bay (we have binocs and a camera with long lens). The bed is very comfortable, the Smart TVs are useful and WiFi was reliable. Great showers. Lots of quality towels and linens. We normally rent a car but it’s really easy to get reliable taxis or Uber and we hired a driver for out of town trips. PV is a beautiful city with lots to do and excellent restaurants, markets and food stands. In January/February we had perfect weather every day. The worst part of staying there is having to leave.
