Positive: We had a wonderful stay at this homestay, would highly recommend to anyone! The family is very kind and welcoming, always available when needed. They even brought us to the main road on our day of departure so we could catch the bus to our next destination, which we really appreciated. The apartment is very clean and new, with its own private entrance and a small terrace outside. The hot shower worked perfectly and everything felt fresh and comfortable. The location is great; only a 3–5 minute walk (ask the owner for the shortcut :-) ) to a beautiful, quiet local beach, where you can find many very good local restaurants. A highlight is the stunning view over the lagoon, especially during sunset. The food was excellent as well. The local-style breakfast was the biggest one we received in Sri Lanka :-) and the fresh juices and alcohol free fruit mojitos that they sell at their very nice restaurant were absolutely delicious too. A great place to stay if you are looking for comfort, cleanliness, good food, and genuine hospitality. Would definitely come back!
