Welcome to Mesquite Creek Farmhouse! A truly unique, relaxing and serene vacation rental. Some would say it is a spiritual experience to stay here. Silence envelopes you on this 5+ acre fenced property. The home sits far back from the road and is accessed by a solar-powered gate. But the beauty of renting this amazing property is you are so close and convenient to New Braunfels, San Marcos & Canyon Lake.
As you enter the winding drive you will see the secluded farmhouse ahead with parking for 4-5 vehicles. This beautiful and eclectic home is perfect for a family or group up to 6 guests who are looking for a getaway near New Braunfels or San Marcos and all the fun activities found in this area. This house could also be perfect for a couple or a family looking for a private, quiet and spacious getaway. One bedroom has a private door to an attached small deck just for sitting out looking into an area full of trees with your morning coffee while another has great access to the cozy enclosed screened porch for those who wake early and like their own quiet time to connect with nature.
The Mesquite Creek Farmhouse is warmly decorated from the wood burning stove in the living room, to the handmade pecan farm table with benches in the large kitchen, to the African art accents throughout. It includes a library and a large dining area for the big family meals! There is also a spacious living room with big-screen Smart TV with apps that can be accessed with your own logins for entertainment.
The enclosed picnic area is complete with tables and benches, & chairs, a twin sized daybed for your afternoon nap (when it's cool enough!) and its own wood burning stove and ceiling fan. From this indoor space you can access the covered porch with plants, lots of comfy seating and a charcoal barbeque for outdoor cooking, please bring your own charcoal! This porch looks out at the tree lined stocked tank with pier that is great for catch-and-release fishing or watching for the egrets or cranes and other wildlife. Please, no swimming allowed in the pond. Relax with a book or a take peaceful walk enjoying nature. Bring some camp chairs to find the perfect spot to relax. Enjoying time here is easy, relaxing and fun!
Sleeping situation! Our home accommodates three couples as it has 3 private bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed, one with queen and one with a full-sized bed. There are two full baths to accommodate your group.
Modern conveniences the H-E-B and Creekside shopping center less than 2 miles away! Or, grab a burger and beer at Freiheit General Store just down the road. Around the corner basically is a premier drive-in theater and Texas Ski Ranch. Both are located less than a mile from this home!
Pet Policies:
**Dogs Welcome! Two dogs maximum. $75 Non-Refundable dog fee applies. No Pit Bulls. Please note without prior knowledge to Love rentals there will be a minimum of $500 and in some cases can be up to $1,000 so please ensure you advise us BEFORE you travel. Dog owners accept full responsibility for the dog.
Only dogs are allowed at this property, no weight limit. Please be aware that the property is fenced, dogs must not be left to run loose as there are places in the fence where a dog may be able to escape and the road the home is located on is a two lane highway. There is an enclosure located outside the home where dogs can be kept outside - it is like a chain-link caged area. Dogs are also allowed inside the home as long as the pet fee is paid. Dogs are not allowed to run loose in the home when the guests are not at the home.

Please note - prior to booking there is 25 years of age minimum requirement & must be present during entire stay and is strictly enforced. Driver's License will be required and requested for all bookings. Failure to meet minimum age requirement upon check-in guest will be evicted and will NOT be refunded for the entire stay.
No Smoking of any kind is permitted in the property: If any signs of smoking are documented, the renter agrees to pay a $500.00 penalty fee.
