Positive: We had the most wonderful stay at Shinseikan. Shigaru and his family were so very kind, hospitable and welcoming. Their ryokan is family run and is so lovely and traditional. The food was exquisite. We had delicious kaiseki style breakfasts and dinners. We had one vegetarian in our group - me - and I was especially well catered for - all of the food was superb. Delicious! The onsen was really lovely. We spent our days skiing and so really appreciated the onsen each night. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely stay again if we came back to the area. We highly recommend Shinseikan. Thank you Shigaru and family.
Summary: Delightful traditional family run ryokan. One of our most favourite stays.
