Why settle for a canal view of your neighbors’ deck party when you can drink in the peaceful open water? Launch your boat docked out back and head to the backwater - or dive / fish the Atlantic. Greet the day in the huge master suite facing the open water and relish the 3-headed rain shower. All areas in the home are individually climate controlled with the Mitsubishi ductless system. ALL the pictures are FROM THE HOUSE - not local scenery you have to walk to enjoy.
Our home is an "open concept" designed for you to soak in the water views and let the stress of the world roll away. Our guests tell us the pictures do not come close to describing the island experience with the panoramic "tree-house" style water views.
Tastefully decorated with original local art and many "international" additions we gathered on our travels, Including handmade glass fish from the Ukraine, Pendant's from Murano Italy and light fixtures from Thailand. This "Keys Oasis" takes advantage of a reverse floor plan where the main living area is on the top floor and the master and guest bedrooms are on their own floor. Both suites have their own bathroom.
Completed in 2015, the home was a labor of love for us. Attention to every detail was considered in integrating this unique home with the environment. There is a dock in the “backyard” and some guests snorkel right behind the house. This is "skinny water" and / or skiff country, perfect for Kayaking (2 are provided) or Paddle-boarding (not provided). Just a few minutes to the back-country or the lesser known reefs on the Atlantic side where there is great deep sea fishing, snorkeling or spearfishing. You can splash a small boat right here or take advantage of several larger ramps nearby.
Please note, the home has very high balconies with cable railings overlooking the water. This deck system enhances the water view but unfortunately it makes the home unsuitable for smaller children. Please note: the home may be difficult for the elderly due to stairs, railings and overhangs. One will need to take SPECIAL CARE with anyone needing extra attention.
For December to March, minimum rental period is 58 days, the rest of the year the minimum period is 28 days. PLEASE: don’t waste time asking about rentals for less than 28 days. County ordnances WILL NOT ALLOW ANY NON-HOTEL rentals for less than 28 days.
TV NOTE: There are two smart TVs. A 60" in the main living area and a 40" in the bedroom. Since the Internet is very fast, streaming to your account is never a problem. Most people use their own streaming service but if you do not have a streaming service let us know and we will activate YouTubeTV at no charge.
Sorry - NO SMOKING or Vaping ALLOWED. Any evidence of the use of these products will result in the loss of deposit.
NOTE ON PETS: We cater to a number of family and other hyper allergic individuals. We only use natural, low odor cleaning supplies. For this reason we cannot consider any animals in the home as it puts our family and other guests at risk.
COVID-19 UPDATE. We are formers owners of a commercial cleaning company. All surfaces and bedding are sanitized and cleaned with a multi-spectrum anti viral cleaner between guests.
