The Back Cabin is a quiet refuge and far enough away from town to feel like you are secluded, yet close enough to enjoy all the seasonal activities around McCall, Idaho. This fully remodeled three bedroom, two bathroom cabin sleeps two couples easily, or a family group up to seven. It is located on the west side of Payette Lake, just off Warren Wagon Road.
You can take a stroll on the quiet lane, launch your own SUP or kayak for some adventure on Payette Lake, or listen to the creek just beyond the large entertaining deck. You can even climb up into a timeless tree house for some fun.
The open floor plan creates a gathering space to share time in the kitchen, dining area and living room. This warm and welcoming great room has large windows that look out onto the deck. Curl up on the couch with a book, listen to music, or watch movies on the large flat screen TV. When you're coming in from the wild, the mudroom provides a place to stash extra gear and slip on your comfy shoes.
The fully-equipped contemporary kitchen has new appliances, including an induction stovetop, convection oven, microwave and a French-door refrigerator. You'll find a great assortment of gadgets, cookware and bakeware to make your time in the kitchen enjoyable and convenient for creating family meals. The breakfast bar seats three and the rustic kitchen table has seating for six.
The main level has a full bathroom that connects to an office that also doubles as a bedroom with a queen-size deep mattress murphy bed and French doors to the deck. There is high speed wireless internet throughout the house and deck.
The spiral staircase leads you upstairs to a landing area adjoined by a full bath and master bedroom with a king bed. The upstairs bunk room accommodates sleeping for three with twin platform beds designed with privacy curtains in each nook, reading lamps, and cellphone charging shelves. There is plenty of comfy bedding for all seasons.
Enjoy the amenities this cabin offers: peaceful privacy, large open living spaces, modern conveniences, close access to town, downhill & cross country skiing, as well as snowmobile access points, flat screen internet TV, washer and dryer, and a convenient pellet stove for an extra blast of heat when you most need it. There are kid-friendly items on hand such as a pack-n-play Graco crib, humidifier, toys, games, and puzzles!
This Property has a great amenity – walking distance to a community beach where one can swim and have access to Payette Lake via human propelled vessels such as SUP or kayak. As long as you can carry your SUP or kayak 300 feet and back to The Back Cabin, you can have access to the lake. You must store whatever you bring at The Back Cabin, and provide your own safety equipment, but this is lovely lake access.
The Back Cabin is positioned between numerous snowmobiling launch areas and trails (Green Gate, Frances Wallace) on the west side of town. However, it should be noted, you cannot park your snowmobile trailer at this property. All trailers must be parked elsewhere in town or at launching points. Free overnight parking of snowmobile trailers are allowed at Brush Creek (2 miles), Francis Wallace (3 miles), and Green Gate (1/4 mile).
There is plenty of room for vehicles with sled decks at this property!
