Positive: **A wonderful villa and exceptional hospitality** We stayed at Villa Emily near Rethymno from 20–28 August with four children and two adults, and our experience was extremely positive. The villa itself is beautiful, very clean and exceptionally well equipped. Everything you could need is available: plenty of towels, pool toys for the children, good refrigeration and air conditioning, as well as small but very useful things such as spices, toiletries and other basics. It really feels like a house that has been prepared with care rather than just a holiday rental. What made our stay particularly memorable, however, was the hospitality of the owners. They welcomed us with delicious homemade jam and fresh fruit and regularly shared tips about places to visit and good restaurants in the area. Halfway through our stay they came to change the towels, and every morning the swimming pool was cleaned and the rubbish taken away. The location is also excellent for exploring Rethymno and the surrounding area. We visited in late August and had beautiful weather throughout our stay, which made an already wonderful holiday even better. Villa Emily is a place we would recommend without hesitation, especially for families. Excellent accommodation, thoughtful hosts and a level of service that goes well beyond what we normally expect from a holiday rental. A holiday we will definitely remember!
